Lauryn Hill is out of prison. She is now a free woman after three months served in a federal penitentiary, stemming from a guilty plea on tax evasion charges.

According to the Bureau of Prisons, Hill was released early this morning.

No word on the Fugees vocalist’s whereabouts as of this time.

She had been housed at the minimum security Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Conn., since July 8. So she’s free after not quite three months.

She failed to pay taxes on $1.8 million in income between 2005-2007.

Lauryn Hill offered some thoroughly epic explanations for the actions that led to her incarceration, and we can only guess what she has in store for us next.

Rants about the IRS, slavery and racism, here we come.
