In an interview with 60 Minutes Australia that will air Sunday night, the singer is asked about previous claims that he spent $20 million on cocaine in the 1970s.

That’s not exactly accurate, the ex-American Idol judge admits.

 

“Realistically, 5 or 6 [million],” says Tyler, adding: “You also could say I snorted half of  Peru, but it doesn’t matter.”

The Aerosmith frontman has been sober for 20 years, though he did suffer a relapse with prescription pills in the late 2000.

He underwent treatment and can now speak openly about the entire ordeal.

Somewhere, even Charlie Sheen is in awe of that whole Peru snorting thing.
