Carly Rose Sonenclar Family Blames LeAnn Rimes for X Factor Loss [Updated]

Tate Stevens has won Season 2 of The X Factor.

But did LeAnn Rimes actually swing the voting in the direction of this aspiring country music star?

Yes, according to the family of runner-up Carly Rose Sonenclar, following that 13-year old's duet of "How Do I Live" on Wednesday's final performance show. Watch it here:

Talk of LeAnn Rimes drunk on stage circulated after the wobbly rendition, with the troubled singer's rep initially blaming Sonenclar for his client's woes, telling TMZ Rimes was trying to help a "nervous" Carly Rose.

Is that really what the above performance looks like to anyone else?

Rimes went on to claim she never uttered a negative word about Sonenclar, but TMZ is standing by the rep's quote.

Insiders say that Sonenclar's mother and other relatives are simply aghast that Rimes would direct any blame at all toward Carly Rose, especially considering how she clearly out-sang LeAnn on-air.

UPDATE: Carly's father has left us a voicemail and said, emphatically, that no one in the family blames Rimes for the show's outcome.

    I finally figured out why Carly was teamed up with Rimes. Spears was her mentor, so spears picked one of her drug buddies, Rimes, to sing with carley. Simon should have stepped in to prevent Spears from getting one of her drug buddies to be on the xfactor show,.

    Carly rose should have won hands down she was an amazing singer and was cute. Tate Stevens wasn't even close to as good as Carly. Why did they even let leAnne Rimes on stage drunk with a 13 year old girl

    Really nice to saw carly performanced, she was amazing, ￱￱rite when britney told that carly was a little diva,, no matter u lost n became a runner up, u still a star n always be a star, not only in american but also in the world, go carly go

    Carly was always on top of her gain, shes was always upping from one performance after another. Tate and Fifth Harmony was cracking in voices and the judges made comments that they could have done better. I sure wished carly would have won because I would buy her music and so would my kids, we all love her and hope that someone cuts her a recording contract because that gal can sing!!!

    Love Carly, amazing talented beautiful.. There's more the point is , bad decision to pick that dude Carly is like 100000000 times better. If I were a judge I would so pick I Carly, any way Carly I got talent lovebird don't stop chasing ur dreams... (never say never!!!!!)
