It’s not exactly a foolproof plan, but Chad Johnson is determined to make his marriage to Evelyn Lozada last by refusing to sign the divorce papers she filed.
Evelyn filed for divorce just 41 days after they wed and three days after Chad head-butted her (allegedly) during an epic argument over a condom receipt.
The incident led to his arrest for domestic battery and release from the Miami Dolphins; Evelyn received stitches and has made it clear she won’t reconcile.
Still, the former Ochocinco will not sign the documents or partake in any divorce proceedings, for the simple reason that he doesn’t want to get a divorce.
He thinks he can win her back, as evidenced by him getting a tattoo of Lozada’s face on his leg and chastising Twitter fans who questioned that move.
Chad can’t necessarily stall this forever, though.
Under Florida law, the divorce can still be finalized with a judge’s approval and Evelyn is determined to make the divorce happen, come hell or high water.
The Basketball Wives star says she still loves Chad, but all she wants to do is move on and rebuild her life, and that there’s no coming back from this.
