Child's Anti-Gay Song Lyrics Lead to Death Threats For Church Pastor, Members

by at .

Members of the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle Church in Greensburg, Ind., are getting more than they bargained for after posting a video online of a three-year-old congregation member proudly singing, "Ain't no homos gonna make it to heaven."

The kid's anti-gay church song references Romans 1:26-27 before the quote above.

The church office has been getting harassing calls and the pastor has even received death threats at his home. Meetings have been moved to alternate places and security has been ratcheted up in response to the negative feedback.

Pastor Jeff Sangl is extremely worried about his safety, and amid the backlash, he and his wife left for vacation without saying where they were going.

Despite the threats, however, no one regrets the song.

One church-goer said, "The people who are upset just don't read the word of God. If we don't teach the children the truth early they will never learn."

As for the thunderous applause after the disturbingly hate-filled song, another said, "Of course we applauded a child who is singing a song about God."

It's all very simple. Those who live by hate and violence (like that video) can expect the same from others. It's actually quite simple. Yes, being offensive as that video is every bit as violent as a death threat, but which came first? It does matter, doesn't it? If one casts stones out at people, they will probably strike back. A death threat is just that...free speech....until someone actually dies. Fomenting hate against a group is just that...fomenting hate like that video. You reap what you sow. Karma's a bitch.

. @ Heather- The God I know- etc? No! I'm not surprised in this age that we live in. Where everyone is entitled to anything they want- or so they think! Your justification of wedlock Children goes hand N hand with your beleifs on gay rights. Us? Well... We foot the Bill as you sit and shit and sqawk like a Seagull and explain the wrongs of the Centuries past. You have nothing to offer Heather-that's why no one listens. You have no bargaining power - that's because you have nothing to offer. All you and yours do is want. You bring nothing to the Table but an appetite and you will believe in anyone that agrees with you. People have played you- the reason your in this situation now? Hell? I'm not sure if you will go to hell or not but if you do- I hope your shit is payed up before go or our taxes will continue to be used for you and yours.

Not condoning homosexuality is not in and of itself HATING!!! It's what the pro-gay movement always throws out to attempt to make their opposers feel guilty. Forget it! In America we have a right to express openly our religious beliefs without apology and for many this is one of them. Pro-gay folks try to make the argument if you are opposing homosexuality you are naturally "homophobic". Wrong! It's not a matter of being scared of it...just opposing it!
