Kody Brown, Sister Wives Still Under Investigation
TLC's Sister Wives has been picked up for a second season. Whether prosecutors in Utah throw a wrench into it with bigamy charges remains to be seen.
Kody Brown and his four wives have come under scrutiny from law enforcement and members of their own community for broadcasting their lives on TV.
The Browns have been under investigation for two months - and counting.
"We're in no rush to get this filed," says Donna Kelly, a deputy county attorney for Utah County. "You can expect a decision in the next 60 to 90 days."
Although polygamy is illegal, officials rarely get involved due to the sheer number of cases in Utah unless there's child abuse, incest, abuse or fraud.
"We don't go looking for cases like this," says Kelly. "But the Browns have definitely made it easier for us by admitting to felonies on national TV."

I LIVE IN GREAT BRITAIN AND HAVE WATCHED AVIDLY I SEE NO WRONG IN THE BROWNS KODY MERI AND JANELLE HAVE FINANCIALY SUPPORTED THEIR FAMILEYS MAYBE PEOPLE NEED TO LOOK AT THIS FAMILEY AND TAKE HEED WE IN THIS COUNTRY ARE TO LIBERAL ON GIVING OUT BENEFITS KODY SEES ALL OF HIS CHILDREN MORE THAN MY HUSBAND SEES MY TWO AS HE WORKS AWAY AND ONLY COMES HOME AT WEEKENDS. JUST LEAVE THEM ALONE AND GET ON WITH UR OWN LIVES AND IF THE BROWNS HAPPEN TO READ THIS GOOD LUCK FOR THE FUTURE AND I HOPE U HAVE A NEW SEASON STARTING AS CANNOT WAIT TO SEE HOW U R ALL GETTIN ON IN VEGAS.

This show is awful and how do they afford separate homes in Nevada. How can you raise these many children with one father. Totally ridiculous and just for the money and TLC airing this again is atrocious. Are we that saturated with reality TV that we need this sham. I think this represents total chaos as family infrastructure. It is really shameful to think that we lower ourselves to watch this kind of TV.

I am not here to judge anyone...but all I have to say is if you know what you are doing is a felony and get on television to advertise it then you shouldn't be shocked when you get into trouble. It might have been better to challenge the law instead of thumb your nose at it. I hate seeing everyone this upset but what did they expect? I wish them well, and hope they stay together but they shouldn't be so shocked that this is happening is all I am saying..

Come on! Does anyone really believe that Kody makes enough to support the lifestyle portrayed on TLC? 60% of the polygamist "wives" in Hilldale UT, and Colorado City AZ are on welfare. Tax cheating is rampant. They have contempt for the government I.E. the taxpayers, referring to tax and welfare fraud as "bleeding the beast". Wake up America! This is debauchery masquerading as religion! do ya suppose their marriage vows said: "forsaking all others, cleaving only to her to death do you part"?

I agree with JAY-L. if you don't have anything good to say then dont say anything , if you don't like the show don't watch it. and to the Utah DA go after the real criminals , and stop the raping and killings and you might save a life.The Browns are just trying to live their life. I am a happily married woman,in a monogamous relationship with a wonderful husband we are a hard working,christian couple and are very happy but even we have our ups and downs.Sometimes trying to make and keep one spouse happy can be a chore but some how the Browns are making it work .STOP torturing them especially the kids and let them live in PEACE. think about this,UNTIL THE DAY YOU CAN WALK ON WATER LEAVE THE JUDGING TO THE MAN UP STAIRS.AND TO THE BROWNS GOD BLESS AND GOOD LUCK.

For all of you who are condeming the Browns, clean out your own closets. I am sure you are not perfect saints you are attempting to sound like. Their relationships are open and honest, the kids are happy, healthy, and well adjusted.This family shows the love and respect they have for each other. Kody is only married to Meri,he has a commitment to the other three, but if they choose to call it a marriage, then so be it. They seem to be making it work even with the difficulty that law enforcement has thrown into it. Alot of single marriages probably wish they could be so lucky. Until recently with the subject of moving, all of the children were happy, now they are sad, but not about their home life, they are sad about having to move away from their home and friends, and this is not fair to any of them. Leave them alone and spend our tax dollars on the real criminals. And to the few that continue to trash their lives, you must not mind it too much or you wouldnt be watching the show,which

No one should judge. They aren't hurting anyone no one made the ladies get married to him. They all seem happy the life get a yes unique and different but large family. In my opinion I was taken back at first but then really thought about it and watched the show more and say the kids are fine they have food clothing shelter and love and the wives are happy everyone has different opinions and tastes and styles some people like tomatos others don't it doesn't mean the people who like them are disgusting or shameful they aren't trying to make you like them they are simply saying they are happy and to try to get everyone to not make them feel so shameful so many men cheat and wives are supposed to look the other way...this way no one meets hurt or diseases everyone is aware fine and happy and we should watch the show if you'd like or watch something else but they aren't breaking any laws and hurting people spend tax money on starving kids and soldiers vs trying to ruin a family
