Jennifer Grey Wins Dancing With the Stars!

by at . Comments

Jennifer Grey turned back the clock and a strong challenge from Bristol Palin to win the Dancing With the Stars crown last night. Congrats to a deserving champ!

Battling through a ruptured disc in her back and other ailments throughout the fall, not to mention stiff competition, it's a victory the 50-year-old will savor.

"This journey was the gift," Jennifer, whose perfect performances Monday clinched it. "Saying yes was the gift. Getting Derek as a partner was a huge gift.”

Worthy of the Title

Jennifer Grey is your Dancing With the Stars winner!

The win also marked three-peat for Derek Hough.

"It's heavy, right?" he pretended to ask Jen, lifting the prestigious Mirror Ball trophy just beyond her reach. At that moment, she was probably walking on air?

Earlier, third-place finisher Bristol Palin announced that a win would be like "a big middle finger to all the people out there who hate my mom and hate me."

Because that's what the show is all about - dancing the haters. Follow the jump for a clip of Jennifer's reaction after the announcement of her victory ...

I'm really glad that Jennifer won she deserved it!!! GO JENNIFER!!!!! Congrats Kyle and Bristol for making it this far, you guys danced good!!

Elaine - "If Bristol had won I would never have watched the show again." AMEN!!! Jennifer was born to dance, with a father like Joel Gray, and she always does it beautifully and perfectly. Good for her. Yipeee!!!

If Bristol had won I would never have watched the show again.
It was absurd that she was able to bump off several talented
dancers. Winning would have been the coup de grace!

ugh kyle should have one!!!!!!!!!!

Ooops wrong cheesy saying in my previous post, it shouldn't be "cart before the horse", replace that with "trees before the forest" or "trees in front of the forest". I'm not even going to bother looking it up online cause i dont' really care. blablablablabla.

DWTS finally gave itself a Palinectomy. Praise God Almighty, Helleluja, it's finally over. DWTS rode this Bristol girl all the way to the end, probably giving her some nasty rug burns.

iam sooooooo glad that jennifer got the ball i loved her on dirty dancin that was my fave movie now let see what's next for bristol maybe a reality show i want to congrates jennifer and derek

As we all know, Jennifer took the mirror ball trophy. she didn't however deserve it yesterday. During both of her dances, injured or not, she made multiple slip ups and the scores should not have been 10's. Where were the judges yesterday? Looks like they turned a blind eye due to her sob story as usual. Derek on the other hand, did deserve it for putting up with her all season long. He is an awesome dancer and choreographer. Hope he gets a better partner next season.

In response to Bristols comment.... honey, the middle finger is looking backatcha, Take a hike!

Kyle should of won!

Cristian de la Fuente [following his injury, trip to the hospital and subsequent stellar performance]

I am not the best dancer, and I have not been the best dancer from the beginning. I am happy we made it this far.
