Angelina Jolie Will NOT Celebrate Thanksgiving!
Millions will delight in Thanksgiving festivities tomorrow. Angelina Jolie is not one of them, electing not to commemorate the genocide of Native Americans.
"Angelina Jolie absolutely hates this holiday and wants no part in rewriting history like so many other Americans," a friend of the actress tells PopEater.
Valid point, but pumpkin pie just tastes so good ...
NO THANKS-GIVING: Angelina Jolie is not a fan!
"To celebrate what the white settlers did to the native Indians, the domination of one culture over another, just isn't her style," the friend says. "[Jolie] doesn't want to teach her multi-cultural family how to celebrate a story of murder."
Not sure how many of us toast to murder at the dinner table on this day, but she prefers to think of herself as a citizen of the world, not just America.
Always extremely sensitive to suffering throughout the world, she's going to great lengths to make sure the Jolie-Pitt brood doesn't honor it here.
"Angelina gets so grossed out by Thanksgiving that she has made sure her family will not be in America this year on Thursday," an insider reports.
While Brad Pitt recently told Extra, "We'll whip up a turkey somewhere," a family friend tells me, "If Brad wants turkey, he'll have to cook it himself."
Well, that would likely be the case whether they observe the day or not. Dude is so annoying when he eats, you know she makes him do the work.

I just saw an interview with anderson cooper. She said her and brad made a turkey for this thanksgiving, and they are proud of theirselves when it was a success. Some of these wrong allegations upon the celebrities are from greedy money hungry individuals like the media. Dont believe everything you hear.

@amirak101 you are the idiot here, with your narrow-minded view on an entire country. i hope i never travel to what ever country you're from, because i'm sure that's where all the idiots of the world desend from. you really think angelina jolie is the intellectual of the United States? she barely graduated high school, if that. how about you talk to someone who is educated and has gone to college, or who has their PhD or masters degree? if America is so stupid, then how come we have one of the best educational systems in the world? how about you read some other posts? most people know what thanksgiving is about, angelina jolie does not. it was when the natives taught the settlers how to harvest, yes, LATER there was a massacer, but that doesn't actually have anything to do with Thanksgiving. i used to think America was stupid for putting celebraties on a pedistal, but now i feel better because i see that you're clearly not American, and you're still stupid enough to pretty much worship

Where the hell do you people come from???? Halloween is a "celebration of evil" and "worshipping the devil"? Really????
If you all want to be COMPLETELY honest, let's look at ALL of the "holidays" (originally referred to as Holy Days)
January - New Year's Day - But which one? The Chinese calendar has a different New Year's day. The Jewish calendar doesn't follow our "traditional" calendar either. (btw... I'm focusing on "holidays" in the US) In the US, New Year's is just another excuse to get soused!
Martin Luther King, Jr Day - A Plagiarist that gets his own holiday? Holy Day? I don't think so. Not to minimize his accomplishments, but why should he be the ONLY person recognized for making headway in American Civil Rights? How about FREDERICK DOUGLASS'S BIRTHDAY????? William Lloyd Garrison? Harriet Tubman? Robert Purvis? Charles Henry Langston???? Nat Turner??? Nah... why look at HISTORY... it's only where all the information is. pfft!
Groundhog Day - Just stupid. We wait f

What a phony. She'll play an assassin for a gazillion dollars, but she won't celebrate "genocide". Right. Another typical limosine liberal who will do just about anything for a $20 Million check, but won't celebrate something that is a tradition to her country because there isn't any money to be made from it.

It is sad that Ms. Jolie is so ungrateful/ thankful of all she has. I agree with the other viewers that she needs to stay out of America. Also, she is so rich, let her take her own personal money and help the other countries she loves so much. Again, she apparently doesn't have a Christlike attitude or she would not feel this way. I just pray for her soul as well as her family. Brad needs to wake up and smell the roses and realize that he is being used. Her record shows she has discarded men from her past as if they were trash. May God bless the children she has adopted as their mom apparently does't think of all these children has to be thankful for. LET her earn her money in the foreign countries-no taxes there huh?

This lazy bitch just does not want to cook for her family and this is her excuse. And am i mistaken but didnt the really violent indian tribes mercilessly slaughter the non violent indian tribes????? Scalping was invented by the indians. Some were violent, and some werent. Just like all people. White black brown olive albino indian alien. And what does that have to do with thanksgiving harvest??? And when is somebody gonna shut this bitch up??? If you are a fan of hers..... I hope your spouse is cheating on you.

I would bet if she looked back in her own family history she would find some dumb mother-fockers, cause you can`t get that stupid in one generation. I don`t understand why people think actors are so smart. All they do is memorize scripts somebody else wrote. Personally, I choose to never add to her bank account with my money. She`s just a piece of crap, husband stealing, bag of ugly, tattooed-up bones with way too big lips and way too little brains. As an American, I invite her and her ugly brood and ball-less Brad to leave this country and to not degrade themselves by living off American dollars again. Good-bye and good riddance, nasty beotch!

some holidays may have started badly but its the reasons we celebrate them now that really matter

...Hundreds+ years ago pilgrimes(not pirates) thanked God for surviving in unharvested year, and for kindness - natives, who taught them to survive.
Since then Thanksgiving, step-by-step, became the day of Family-together (table with dishes, etc.)
If m-me Jolie does not like to cook, that's her business, but it's nothing to do with political persuations. She is too self-centered, too poor-minded to speak out about that subject.

Goodness. The way things get mixed up is indeed simultaneously sad and funny. I've lived in Europe for 12 years and they celebrate Thanksgiving, as well, just at slightly different times. It's called, for example, "Ernte Dank Fest" in Germany and is simply translated, "Harvest Thanks Festival," which *suprise!* is where our Thanksgiving came from, is based upon and still supposed to mean. How it became associated with the massacre of the Native Americans is a little twist of interpretation down through the generations. And actually, the Native Americans were part of the original Pilgrims' Thanksgiving as they were the ones who taught the newly-arrived Europeans how and WHAT to farm in the new country (beans, potatoes and corn didn't exist in Europe back then!).
