Should Howard Stern Replace Simon Cowell?
On tomorrow night's broadcast, Ellen DeGeneres officially joins the American Idol judging table.
While we're looking forward to this debut, many viewers are already contemplating next season. Still shocked by the news of Simon Cowell's exit, they're left to wonder: who will replace this British icon?
Howard Stern has an idea: himself!
"I can't imagine anyone else but me replacing [Cowell]," Stern said today. "How else are they going to make that show work? Who knows how to broadcast and who knows how to be interesting? And who's not afraid to speak their mind?"
All good questions, but surely there's someone out there that's outspoken and more knowledgeable about music than he is about lesbians or sex toys.
Stern says quite clearly he'd do the show... if the money is right.
"It might be possible, we'll see," he said. "They'd have to pay me a ton of dough, because I already make a ton of dough."
Stern's five-year, $500 million contract with Sirius radio expires at the end of this year. Do you think he'd make a suitable replacement for Simon?

Never being a fan of Stern, I just can't see how someone who has no musical experience like Simon does, be a judge to replace him. I see the drama and comedy a person like Stern could bring but he'd have to be instructed that it's a familyish type show and no vulgarity allowed. To merely just a thought, Simon isn't bad. His attitude seems to make it that way but he knows music/talent when he sees it, he's honest and tells the people the truth. He's definitely not scum. Stern, that is a different story, he's just too creepy.

I am not sure how one could compare Simon Cowell, to the likes of that disgusting waste of human space Stern.
Of course it was HIS idea to replace Simon, because no one else would ever mutter such a ridiculous statement. He is a disgusting man, period.
Only in the USA could someone like Stern make a living spewing the crap that he does.

I can honestly say that he CAN'T be any worse. He's beneath any score of anything reasonable and I'm sure he and Simon share the same views. Scum, scum, and more scum underneath a smile and wave. Yeah. Perfect fit.

Since Stern has zero musical experience then he would be a perfect fit for this overblown karaoke contest that we call American Idol.
