Mackenzie Phillips Says She Aborted Her Father's Possible Love Child

by at .

In a new memoir, Mackenzie Phillips claims she was raped by her father at the age of 19.

High on drugs, the former child star also says she carried on a decade-long relationship with her dad. Sister Chynna Phillips backs up these allegations, admitting that Mackenzie revealed the incest to her years ago.

Now, just when the story seemed like it couldn't get any more sickening, the abused sister appeared on Oprah and told the host she ended the affair with her dad for one specific, grotesque reason:

She became pregnant and aborted the baby, fearing that it was her father's.

After sleeping with father John Phillips for years, Mackenzie got knocked up.

She didn't know if the child was her dad's or then-husband Shane Fontayne's; as a result, she terminated the pregnancy and "never let him touch me again," she told Winfrey, referring to her father.

Replied Michelle Phillips, who was married to John for eight years, until 1970:

"John was a bad parent, and a drug addict. But f-cking his daughter? If she thinks it's true, why isn't she with a good psychiatrist on a couch? I think it's unconscionable that Oprah would let her do her show. I have every reason to believe it's untrue. Oprah should be more judicious about who she has on her show.

"Mackenzie has a lot of mental illness. She's had a needle stuck up her arm for 35 years. She was arrested for heroin and coke just recently. She did Celebrity Rehab and now she writes a book. The whole thing is timed... Mackenzie is jealous of her siblings, who have accomplished a lot and did not become drug addicts."

No matter where the truth lies, everyone comes out badly in this story.

How can "the drugs" be blamed? Did they pick these people up and put them in bed together? Ummm no. Oprah started this whole "noone is to be blamed for anything" deal (although maybe that's just getting fat) and good grief. Sick.
