Mackenzie Phillips Says She Aborted Her Father's Possible Love Child
In a new memoir, Mackenzie Phillips claims she was raped by her father at the age of 19.
High on drugs, the former child star also says she carried on a decade-long relationship with her dad. Sister Chynna Phillips backs up these allegations, admitting that Mackenzie revealed the incest to her years ago.
Now, just when the story seemed like it couldn't get any more sickening, the abused sister appeared on Oprah and told the host she ended the affair with her dad for one specific, grotesque reason:
She became pregnant and aborted the baby, fearing that it was her father's.
After sleeping with father John Phillips for years, Mackenzie got knocked up.
She didn't know if the child was her dad's or then-husband Shane Fontayne's; as a result, she terminated the pregnancy and "never let him touch me again," she told Winfrey, referring to her father.
Replied Michelle Phillips, who was married to John for eight years, until 1970:
"John was a bad parent, and a drug addict. But f-cking his daughter? If she thinks it's true, why isn't she with a good psychiatrist on a couch? I think it's unconscionable that Oprah would let her do her show. I have every reason to believe it's untrue. Oprah should be more judicious about who she has on her show.
"Mackenzie has a lot of mental illness. She's had a needle stuck up her arm for 35 years. She was arrested for heroin and coke just recently. She did Celebrity Rehab and now she writes a book. The whole thing is timed... Mackenzie is jealous of her siblings, who have accomplished a lot and did not become drug addicts."
No matter where the truth lies, everyone comes out badly in this story.

Only to add that all the opinions are right from the personal point of view.....
They did it!! I think that the definition affair is just the way it was, that is, a complicity between father and his daughter.
I am satisfied because this makes me suppose there was no abuse, but agreement. More than agreement there was sexual attraction owing to drugs and promiscuity, because they passed all the time turning on. According to Mack's confession, daddy introduced her to drugs at eleven and to sexual intercourse at 19 ? That incest relationship extended 10 years ?. Anyway they both looked pleased, satisfied, still, in pics, interviews and videos of that time, specially Mack as if she was proud of being the female of her own father. I can“t imagine and not to mention Mack in concerts beside her daddy, dripping out the rest of sperm her father poured into her vagina the night before, and eagerly waiting for the moment in which she would give herself nude to his daddy's arms again, to let h

How can "the drugs" be blamed? Did they pick these people up and put them in bed together? Ummm no. Oprah started this whole "noone is to be blamed for anything" deal (although maybe that's just getting fat) and good grief. Sick.

I wonder if this story - which I am really starting to doubt - will get out of our faces soon. What a mess! And how totally unfair to Chynna's kids (does Mackenzie have other nieces and nephews?). Their Grandfather is now a monster to them, whether this is true or not. And he can't speak for himself, because of the whole being dead thing. :-P I have not turned on the TV, read e-mail or gone to any H'wood site w/o reading this - Mackenzie needs to stop going on every show that exists (where next, Cooking Channel). It's sick that she is selling this book by selling this story. Who is helped here? I actually want to know if anyone has thoughts. I had no idea she was MARRIED when this sick thing was allegedly happening. Cheating on your husband with your DAD. Doesn't she have a kid? Who is his Dad?
Sometimes I really wish we could have the 1950s back, when this stuff was hidden. I know I'll get a lot of disagreement and that's ok.I'm just talking about my own heart and psyche. It wou

Who are we to judge whether this is true or not! As a survivor, there is no way possible that a person would come out with the truth, on the chance she would lose "everything" but only to heal herself and others move on.
Very couragous!

Here we have two opposite stories, one from a reliable source, Michelle, and the other from a confirmed long-time addict, Mackenzie. Bizarre at any level.
