To be honest, I really do think part of it was the outfit. It's particularly unflattering. There are photos of her post-concert that look as if she's at least ten pounds lighter.
That said, I agree with the majority of the celebrity comments. If we let Hollywood set the standard for the so-called "ideal weight", we'll all be anorexic.

What hypocrites ! These stars are posting these comments and yet they are the ones who are starving themselves and permeating this ridiculous standard. Jessica Simpson needs to get "real"....get rid of those stupid hair extenstions and makeup - ridiculously white teeth (I'm all for dental hygiene...but come on !!!!). Hey, she has no talent but is getting all of this publicity from all of us. Bravo the machine for people that HAVE to be in the spotlight.

I totally agree with Patricia but i think the comment above mine makes a good point. I'm not saying she is fat, i think she's would be gorgeous at any size but it's not easy to be a good role model and weight is a tricky issue because if you are curvy people say you are setting a bad example and if your skinny people say you are setting a bad example. I think she looks fine!

^In reponse to your cowardly and oblivious post, in case you haven't noticed, Jessica Simpson is HEALTHY! I don't know about you, but I think THAT'S setting a GOOD example for EVERYONE! The only reason you haven't came to this realization is because you simply have been brainwashed into thinking that underweight is the only way to set a good example. And i'm sorry but that is the truth if you HONESTLY think Jessica looks like a "cow" at her current weight. You really should do some research before you comment on what is good role modeling and what is not.
