Natalie Mordovtseva and Mike Youngquist don’t, on the surface, have the obvious problems of other couples.

Getting visas was not a challenge for them.

They met through mutual friends, not through scam websites.

They are almost shockingly age-appropriate for each other — being only months apart in age.

Yet they have had enough drama to have kept them on camera for much longer than many couples last.

Season 6, Episode 9 was no exception.

As you can see, a simple conversation while introducing their pet rat turned into a heated conflict.

However, in the background, something sinister caught the eyes of fans.

Mike seems to have a racist symbol in the form of a candle on display in his home.

Natalie is from Ukraine. Maybe she doesn’t recognize the infamous "stars and bars" of the Confederate flag.

But viewer sure do. TLC’s editors blurred it out, but it’s still there for all to see.
