Chalk another entry up in our list of 911 Calls That Never Should Have Been Made.
In this case, no one called the emergency number because Facebook was down temporarily.
But a Stamford Connecticut resident did phone the cops because he failed to win a multi-hour long standoff with his very own cat.
"My cat was getting too aggressive," Mohammed Lokman can be heard telling the 911 operator. "I was inside and he attacked me and he started scratching my leg and biting me.
"So me and my wife went outside and now we cannot go in for like three, four hours."
The operator clarifies that the man is referring to a cat and then manages not to laugh when he adds:
"We cannot move. We cannot do anything. It's so aggressive and so mad."
Police later confirmed that the 7.5-pound animal had given birth the night before and had apparently grown aggressive when the owner left the house and then attempted to return.
Lokman can take solace, at least, in knowing that a family also called 911 in March of 2014 due to a ferocious feline.
