The Kanye West Presidential campaign is off to a rough beginning.
During a concert in San Jose on Thursday night, the rapper admitted to a sold-out crowd that he didn't vote for Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton or anyone at all on November 8.
Despite choosing NOT to participate in the political process, West went on a lengthy "political speech" during the show, as described by Billboard.com.
“I said something that was kind of politically correct. I told y’all I didn’t vote, right?” West reportedly said, adding:
“What I didn’t tell you… but if I were to have voted, I would have voted on Trump.”
Ummm... really, Kanye?
Previously, Kanye's famous wife, Kim Kardashian, had hinted that Caitlyn Jenner had convinced her to also vote for Trump, only to later clarify that she was very much on Team Hillary.
Twitter user @RaptorJesuss shared a ticket stub from the event, in order to prove he was there, and then Tweeted some of Kanye’s quotes in real time.
"Rappers are philosophers of our now, celebrities are the influencers of our now, just look at the president, he wasn't in politics and won,” West told his fans.
RaptorJesuss later wrote he was "dead serious" that West said he was running for President in 2020.
