With Nick Viall, Bachelor Nation has a known commodity this season … and yet The Bachelor star still feels like he deserves a fresh start.
When she show premieres January 2 (see The Bachelor spoilers to learn how his journey is going so far), what side of Nick will we see?
The Nick we love … the Nick we love to hate … the Nick a lot of people just plain hate … or the guy who’s often been somewhat misunderstood?
While the latest promo for the coming season doesn’t tell us who Nick Viall chooses with his final rose, it does acknowledge one thing:
His mere selection as The Bachelor made this season controversial.
The theme music lyrics of the promo say it all when it comes to Nick, who plays along: "I’ve been bad, I’ve been good … I’ve been misunderstood."
To us, that’s not a liability, but something that adds to Nick’s charm.
Prior to Nick’s stint on Bachelor in Paradise, producers were eyeing Luke Pell or Chase McNary for the role, but Viall ended up with the gig.
The overwhelmingly positive, and somewhat surprising, response to Nick on the spinoff convinced producers to cast him in the role.
Viall, who was dumped by Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe on consecutive finales of The Bachelorette, is calling the shots this time.
Will it work out for him? And are you excited? Check out the promo:
