As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Kanye West announced that he’s running for president in 2020 during Sunday night’s VMAs.
At first, most people assumed (and hoped) that he was kidding, but that’s how the world felt when Donald Trump announced his candidacy, and look how that’s turning out.
It seems like everyone you talk to claims to hate Yeezy and the Donald, and yet one is amongst the top-selling rappers of all time, and the other is beating his GOP challengers in every poll.
Of course, it’s not surprising that society can’t make up its mind about these two bombastic blowhards. As far as we can tell, they can’t make their minds up about themselves.
They both say they want to be liked, but constantly court haters. They’re both intensely arrogant, yet in constant need of validation from the public. They both take pride in the fact that they’re not politicians…yet they both want to be president.
Fortunately, the folks over at Jimmy Kimmel Live put together a montage of clips to call attention to these many similarities.
Hopefully, this won’t turn out as badly as the last time Kimmel made fun of Kanye.
