Choyon Manjrekar didn’t just come out on top of Jeopardy for the third consecutive time on Monday night.
He also provided us with the best Final Jeopardy answer of all-time, even though it wasn’t close to being correct.
Actually: because it wasn’t close to being correct.
Entering Final Jeopardy with a huge lead, Manjrekar faced this inquiry:
"A Christian hymn and a Jewish holiday hymn are both titled this, also the name of a 2009 Tony-nominated musical."
So, naturally, he answered… Kinky Boots!
It was evident from Manjrekar’s expression that he had just taken a wild guess.
“Kinky Boots, yes indeed!” Alex Trebek joked as the crowd laughed. “Whenever people go to temple or go to church, they sing ‘Kinky Boots’!”
The correct answer, by the way, was Rock of Ages, leaving us with only one question left to ponder:
Does the above video represent the greatest Final Jeopardy answer in history? Or is THIS the greatest Final Jeopardy answer in history?
