There have been many memorable ceremonial first pitches over the years.

We’ll never forget 50 Cent’s massacre of the sport… or the time this 108-year old kicked off a game in admirable fashion.

But first pitches do not get any more emotional than the one featured here:

Prior to the Indians-Yankees game on Thursday night, shortstop Mike Aviles’ twin daughters (Adriana and Maiya) had the honor of throwing the first pitch to their dad.

What made the moment extra special and heartwarming? Adriana was diagnosed with Leukemia in May.
