Mackenzie McKee could really use your thoughts and prayers right now.
The Teen Mom OG star said goodbye to her mother on Monday, December 9, three days after Angie Douthit entered hospice care and about two years after she was diagnosed with brain cancer.
It's a tragic situation.
Not long after the news of Angie's passing went public, McKee spoke out on Instagram.

Angie Stopped Cancer Treatment on December 6
She was told this summer that her cancer had spread all around her body and that she had about six months to live.
No More Pain
McKee Tweeted the above message in light of her mom entering hospice, finding the silver lining in a nightmare situation.
Her Race is Over
On Tuesday morning, Angie's official Instagram account confirmed the terrible news. "On Monday, December 9 at 11:37pm, Angie finished her race. Her last days were spent lovingly surrounded by family and friends as they prayed, sang, and shared funny Angie stories," read this message.
It Went On and On, In Inspiring Fashion:
Continued this post: "Angie found out about her cancer in January 2018. She wanted to keep everyone informed of what was going on so she made a social media post. The next day she made another. And then another. And what started as an easy way to convey information turned into wildfire of hope that spread over the world."
God Bless Angie
"She wasn’t able to sleep an entire night so she would wake up around 3am to write her posts," continued this message. "We watched her get up everyday in the darkest hours of the night to spread the brightest light that she knew of, her Savior Jesus Christ. There were times when she wrote her posts through pain and confusion. There were times at the end when she couldn’t type and would ask her daughters to type for her but she would not give up spreading the gospel message of hope."
Alas, You Guys...
"In nearly two years, she never missed her daily post...tomorrow she will."
Motivating from Beyond
The announcement message then reached out to Angie's friends and followers: "But this is where you pick up the baton and run like she did mighty warrior. You can choose this day to be like Angie and use your social media engagements to make a difference rather than disaster, to spread love and not hate, and to always be kind."
"We know many people around the world read these posts so drop your city and country name in the comments so we can see where you are!"
Just So Very Sad
Mackenzie didn't say anything in this initial post, but she then used a photo of her mom completing a marathon to speak out on the tragedy.
Rest in Peace, Mom
"Momma @angiedouthit has crossed the finish line. She did not lose the battle, she one [sic]. She is healed and running in heaven in eternity. Idk anyone who left earth with such an impact,” the 25-year reality star wrote on Instagram.
A Tribute to an Amazing Parent
"Your entire life you never waisted a chance to let the world know Gods love," continued Mackenzie. "When we would try to brag on what an amazing person you are you would respond with ‘it’s not me, it’s God.’ Could you imagine this world if we all lived like Angie Douthit?"
A Women Sent from Heaven
"She always said “it’s easy, we were put on earth to share Gods love," Mackenzie says now. "And boy did she. 700 daily post for you guys to read daily, hundreds of speaking engagements even when she could barely walk or speak, she simply trusted That God would speak through her."
I'm Not Worthy
Added McKee: "Momma, i did not deserve you. But you loved me so unconditionally. You were the glue that held me together. The one who always believed in me. Idk what I will do without you but I hope this goes by fast so I can hurry and come be with you."
Making a Vow
This is how Mackenzie concluded: "You passed a torch down to us and I will not fail you. I will live for Christ and love like him like you always taught me. I will make you proud momma."
Such Beautiful Words
A day before Angie died, Mackenzie paid tribute to both her parents on Instagram. "Mom has been a Christ-like example to many people ever since she got saved. She doesn’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk. She is obedient to her Savior. She led dad to the Lord a long time ago," she wrote.
Added Mackenzie in This Post:
"Since then, mom has been a faithful Christ-like example to dad. When mom got sick, she was very weak and it was hard for her to raise her hands. So anytime she would worship and have the desire to raise her hands, she would grab dads hand and he would help her lift her arm up to worship."
Love You, Dad
"Dad has watched mom these last two years share the Gospel with the world," wrote Mackenzie. "He has watched her love others, forgive others, and show others true kindness. This has changed dad tremendously and he has grown in his relationship with Christ.
Setting an Amazing Example
"All of us kids have seen a huge difference in dad over the last two years," wrote Mackenzie. "When mom first got sick, dad shut down and it was hard for him to even talk. Yesterday when we worshipped together, mom was too weak to move. Dad grabbed her hand and lifted it in the air so she could worship."
It Really is Possible to Change
"Instead of how dad acted two years ago, he has been able to lead us toward Christ. People are watching you. Be that example of Christ," Mackenzie concluded.
What an incredible life she lived. May Angie Douthit rest in peace.
