We all know that David Eason is a terrible human being.
For the past few years, it was an “alleged” thing — like most of us felt very strongly that he was a really bad person, but there wasn’t any real proof.
But now, there are just heaps and heaps of it!
David is so bad that he killed her dog, got her fired from Teen Mom 2, and gotten all the kids removed from her custody.
It’s a scary situation.
One that’s made only worse because, according to a friend of Jenelle’s, he’s been physically abusing her throughout all of this.
The Easons
Jenelle and David have never had a fairytale romance — not even close.
A Great Big Downward Spiral
But things have gotten so, SO much worse in these past few weeks.
Back in the Day
When we first met David on Teen Mom 2, we assumed he’d be a douchebag, considering every other guy Jenelle’s ever dated.
The Details
And pretty much as soon as we learned David’s full name, we started hearing all about his criminal history — prior to meeting Jenelle, he spent time in jail for things like breaking and entering, driving while impaired, and failing to appear in court.
Uh Oh
We also saw court documents from an ex-girlfriend and the mother of his son — that woman had gotten a restraining order against him for herself and the kid because David had allegedly been abusive towards her during her pregnancy. She even claimed he’d threatened to kill her.
Oh Man
The foreshadowing, right?
Girl

Despite all those massive red flags, Jenelle went forward with the relationship, and after less than a year of dating, she was pregnant with his child.
What Happened Next?
During this time period, and for a long time after, there were tons of rumors that he was being abusive and neglectful with the kids, specifically with Kaiser, the son Jenelle shares with Nathan Griffith.
Poor Kaiser
For well over a year now, Nathan and his mother, Doris, have said that Kaiser had been telling them that David abuses him — they’ve claimed that they’d heard about David hitting him with a stick and even punching him in the head.
Making Changes
In 2017, Doris tried to get emergency custody of Kaiser, and for the past several months, Nathan has been working on getting full custody with supervised visitation for Jenelle and a stipulation that David couldn’t be around him, ever.
Oh, Jenelle …
It probably helped his case that last fall, there was finally some concrete evidence that David was abusive when Jenelle called 911.
Tough to Hear
The recording of that call is still so hard to hear, maybe even harder now, but to sum it up, it’s just a few minutes of Jenelle sobbing hysterically and telling the operator that her husband pushed her down and pinned her to the ground, and that he was so rough with her that she thought her collarbone may have been broken.
Excuses
Shortly after that recording was leaked, Jenelle had a story for it — she changed the details a few times, but the gist of it was that David hadn’t done anything to her, they’d just gotten into an argument then she fell in a hole.
Uh …

We don’t know for a fact that her story was nonsense because we weren’t there for any of this, but … it sounds like nonsense, right?
Keeping Quiet
Anyway, the 911 call was a very big deal, and Jenelle and David spent a while after that laying low. There was some drama, of course — a lot happened after the 911 call aired on Teen Mom 2.
Here We Go
But it was nothing like what’s been happening since David killed Nugget.
RIP Nugget
Nugget was a tiny little French bulldog that Jenelle really seemed to love, but they didn’t train the dog or teach the smaller kids how to act around it, so when two-year-old Ensley handled it too roughly (because she was likely never taught any better), it snapped.
The Evidence
But like, barely — Nugget gave Ensley a warning nip, a little “back up, please,” and David shared the aftermath here with this photo. As you can see, Nugget didn’t even come close to breaking the skin. Her cheek barely even looks red.
Horrifying
But still, David wasn’t having it. He grabbed the dog, took it outside and shot it. Some reports have claimed that he beat it, too. Ensley was home for this, obviously, but so were Kaiser and Maryssa.
Contemplating
Right after this happened, Jenelle made an official statement saying she was devastated by what had happened, and that she was considering divorcing David, but just a few days later, she was back home with him like nothing had happened.
GOOD
But something had happened, and it was a very big deal — big enough for the sheriff’s department to get involved.
Thanks, CPS
After a little bit of investigating, CPS got involved, too — they removed all the children from David and Jenelle’s custody.
Child-Free
They tried to fight that decision, but after hearing testimony, a judge agreed that the kids shouldn’t be with Jenelle and David. Maryssa went to her grandmother, Kaiser went to Nathan, and Ensley went with Barbara, who already has Jenelle’s oldest son, Jace.
What Next?!
This is just a temporary arrangement — this week, the judge is supposed to let Jenelle and David know what to do to get their kids back. However, it won’t happen anytime soon. It will likely be several months before they can regain custody, and there’s always the chance that it will never happen.
Disgusting
Oh, and it won’t happen at all for Maryssa — remember, last week we learned that David is officially “done” with her after she refused to speak with him at a supervised visit. They’re supposed to be letting the judge know that they’re no longer seeking custody of her, and that they’re also no longer interested in getting back unsupervised visits for Jace.
Why Though
Do they realize how bad that’s going to look for their custody case, that they’re just forgetting about their two oldest kids and focusing on the two babies?
When It Rains …
Oh, and you know what else doesn’t look great?
Oh Wow
The fact that one of Jenelle’s friends is on Facebook, telling everyone that David has been hitting her.
What?!
OK, so remember a few weeks ago when Jenelle made a post on Facebook that read “Rumors are rumors, remember that”? Yeah, it didn’t age well, but that’s what she siad.
All These Rumors
A girl named Kayla responded to Jenelle’s post with a screenshot from a Teen Mom Facebook group showing her that fans have been discussing it.
Friends
Here’s a bit of that conversation — you can see that Kayla tells Jenelle that she supports her, and Jenelle responds with “well only people like u and a few more on fb know me personally.” So they’re friends, right?
Whoa
So that makes a post that Kayla made on her own Facebook pretty darn interesting …
This Mess
Last week, Kayla shared the above video — the leaked one where we see David tell Jenelle that he doesn’t even care if she dies because she’s a piece of sh-t.”
Really?
Someone commented on that post, saying that it’s sad Jenelle seems to be choosing David over her children, and Kayla pointed out that she is in abusive relationship, so she “has no choice” but to stay.
Devastating

The other person insisted that Jenelle could still leave, to which Kayla said “if youâÂÂve been in a abusive relationship youâÂÂre gonna be scared to leave heâÂÂs hitting her and sh-t.”
Heartbreaking

So add all of this together, and we have a person that Jenelle acknowledges knows her personally alleging that David has been beating her and that she’s scared to leave him.
What Will It Take?
There’s no way of knowing if this is true, or if this Kayla person is speaking from personal knowledge or speculating on everything like the rest of us, but either way … Jenelle, girl, leave. Please.
