It is official:
Jenelle Evans is out.
And Jade Cline.
Several weeks ago, MTV confirmed that it had parted ways with Evans after her husband shot and murdered their family dog and the network finally grew too sick and tired of Jenelle’s many antics and general awful behavior.
Then, on the final installment of this season’s Teen Mom 2 reunion, producers went ahead and formally announced her replacement.

What the F-ck is Going On?
Cline was introduced to MTV viewers via a recorded podcast segment with Kailyn Lowry and her Coffee Convos co-host Lindsie Chrisley, alongside Teen Mom OG stars Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell. She was asked for her reaction upon being told she was taken over for Evans.
So Much Confusion
“I didn’t know” what was going on at first,” Jade explained on air. “My producer, they’re all saying that they have to tell me something. And no one is telling me anything so for weeks I’m like, ‘What the f-ck is going on?’ “I’m at school, and all of sudden, all the cameras are on and they’re with my producer– and, on ‘Young and Pregnant’ they never break that wall, and I was like ‘What’s going on? I’m gonna poop, I’m scared!’”
She’s Still Nervous
“I was nervous, I had a little mini panic attack before I came,” said Jade, who is pictured above with her young daughter, Kloie. “I can’t believe they would want me on this show that’s been on for 10 years.”
I Just Wanna Play Nice
In response to Lowry saying that she wasn’t very excited about a new cast member — ANY new cast member — joining the show, Cade responded: “I don’t want to step on peoples’ toes, I don’t like that.”
An Independent Woman
“I’ve always taken care of myself, since I was younger,” Jade said of herself on the special. “CPS took me away from my parents when I was 16 years old. I’ve been taking care of myself since then, so I feel so much older. I feel like I didn’t vibe with a lot of them.”
She Didn’t Really Befriend Any of the Gals on Young and Pregnant
“They’re only a couple years younger than me, but I feel like mentally, they were just in a different spot,” she said. “I know a lot of them live with their parents; I’ve been out of my parents’ house since I was 16 years old. I’ve been on my own for six or seven years, so I feel like I didn’t vibe with anyone or talk with them as much just because I was just somewhere else mentally.”

Yes, Jade has been through A LOT in her young life.
Details, Please!
On Young and Pregnant, Jade expressed her concern over her mother’s struggle with drug abuse. “I’m hoping my mom will be able to help me when the baby gets here, but I’m not sure I can count on her because my parents have struggled with addiction in the past,†she said. “My mom has been in and out of jail and rehab many times growing up. It did affect me a lot.â€Â
YIKES!
We know, right? “In my new season, both of my parents were just incarcerated,” Cline said on the Teen Mom 2 special. “They’ve been strung out for so long, they’re like binge addicts, where they’ll binge [on drugs] and then they’ll be OK. And then it’s like a fairytale for like a month and it’s like I have my mom back, my mommy is back.”
Heartbreaking Stuff
“It hurts because I’ve grown up and I haven’t had my mom there,” she added. “My heart was hurting because my real dad committed suicide when I was 6 months old.”
Real Daddy Issues
“I feel like my real dad never loved me enough to stay and now I feel like, even when I have a second chance at a father, I feel like he never loved me enough to stay clean,” she also said.

Christine Smith was arrested for possession of cocaine and theft on March 8, 2014. The Greenwood Police Department responded when Christine was observed “selecting items from the store, specifically two items of clothing valued at $15.50 and removed their tags.†She was stopped by security outside of the store and admitted to the theft.
No Relationship Here
In an interview with Radar in October of 2018, Jade revealed she is estranged from her mother. “We’re not on talking terms,†she said. “She doesn’t care about her life. I care a lot about my life. I don’t want to be around people so negative and down.â€Â
Baby Daddy Drama
Jade has been in an on-again, off-again relationship with her baby’s father, Sean Austin, who she shares daughter Kloie with. Last year, she forced him to take a drug test… which he failed.
More Heartbreak
Despite her family issues, Jade is very close to her grandmother. But in November of 2018, she revealed her grandma’s devastating cancer diagnosis and asked fans to contribute to her GoFundMe page to help pay for medical bills.
So Long, David Eason and Jenelle Evans
Jade partly replaces Eason, who was fired for being a bigot, and Jenelle who was let go several weeks ago.
Peace Out, Losers!
“MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of Teen Mom 2 with him since,” MTV said in a statement the end of April. “Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019 and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season.”

Probably not until 2020. The network has not yet announced a return date for the show.
