Dominique Potter is ready to drop some truth bombs.
This substitute teacher had been living a quiet life, far away from the celebrity gossip spotlight, when she started dated Teen Mom 2 cast member Kailyn Lowry in late 2017.
How did the two meet?

Amidst a flurry of Teen Mom 2 news, views and controversy, Potter sat down and spoke at length with Radar Online regarding her past (and present) with Lowry.
This is a rundown of what she said and where they stand…
When Did They Meet?
About two years ago, Potter said to open her chat with Radar, at a “private event in” New Jersey. She didn’t offer many more details, but did confirm the pair were just friends for awhile.
When Did They Start Dating?
Potter knows the exact date: “We went to Atlanta the second week of November. November 14 was the actual day. She wanted the title,” Dom explained to Radar, referring, we assume, to the title of “girlfriend.” This is when they became exclusive.
Is That Accurate, Kailyn?
Yes. Lowry said basically the same thing on a podcast with Lindsie Chrisley in November. The two even posed for some photos together on social media around this time.
They Looked Happy, But…
“We weren’t dating anybody else. Any time she thought I was speaking to somebody, she was quick to ask what I was doing,” Potter now says, making it clear there was always tension between the girlfriend. “There were a couple of times she questioned if I was cheating on her. I wasn’t seeing anyone else. I can’y say the same for her.”
Then, Things Got REALLY Weird
Potter explains that she read about the couple breaking up online and asked Kailyn where those rumors came from, considering she thought they were still committed. “I questioned her about it and she said just leave it alone,” Dom tells Radar. “I went with that. Whatever she said, I believed it.”
They Took a Temporary Break in February
Due to “trust issues,” Potter says. But the split only lasted a week. It was really just a hiatus.
Questions About Kailyn
Potter says the two were dating in mid to late February, but Lowry refused to tell anyone about it. That’s never a positive sign, is it? “I don’t know why she didn’t want to go public,” Potter tells Radar. “But if she’s doing something else, that’s why she doesn’t want people knowing she’s in a relationship… She didn’t want to lose that constant attention from other people.”
From One Person in Particular, Maybe?
It has since come out that Kailyn slept with ex-husband Javi Marroquin while she was dating Potter. We know this because Lowry has admitted this.
Kailyn Has Regrets
With her Potter relationship playing out these days on Teen Mom 2 episodes that were filmed months ago, Lowry has acknowledged that she didn’t treat Potter very well. She has Tweeted a lot about regret.
My Major Bad
“There are a lot of things I’ve been regretting lately,” Kailyn told Us Weekly. “For one, I feel bad about the way I went about the situation with Dom.”
I’m Very Sorry, Dom
“She’s so sweet, but I really just didn’t know how to handle it all,” Lowry added in this interview, seemingly accepting full responsibility for the breakup and adding: “I didn’t want it on TV, and I guess I really didn’t value how seriously she took us.”
The Signs Were There All Along
Potter realizes now that she should have known from the start that she could not trust Lowry, sharing this story with Radar: “Nothing adds up with her. Over Christmas break, I spent almost three weeks to a month at her house. She used to share her location with me. I got an alert on my phone that said Kail stopped sharing her location. She said, ‘I turned my location off for everything.’’Then she was like, ‘I don’t trust you, I was mad at you, that’s why I stopped sharing with you.’ Something wasn’t right. That was a month into the relationship.”
How Serious Was the Romance?
Potter said the two said “I love you” on a daily basis and that she grew close to Kailyn’s kids, who referred to her as “Daddy Dom.”
Talk About Trust Issues!
In light of Kailyn confessing that she stepped out on Dom with Javi, Potter Tweeted that she was well aware something fishy was going on; so much so that she took an STD test while she was still dating Lowry!
Will They Ever Get Back Together?
LOL, no. “She did cheat on me with Javi,” Potter emphasized to Radar. “That was out of her own mouth. She said they hooked up. She said they even discussed hooking up.”
But Maybe They Can Be on Good Terms at Some Point?
In re-watching her actions on Teen Mom, Kailyn really does seem to feel bad about her behavior, as evidenced by this Tweet.

There seems to be little doubt that Kailyn is referring to Dom here as the person she lead on. Not sure how else to interpret it.

Dom did not help Kailyn get over Javi, that much is obvious. But now that Javi is expecting a child with someone else, perhaps Lowry can truly get that fresh start after all.
As for Potter
Even Lowry would admit now that she could do a lot better. Here’s to hoping she moves on quickly and successfully with someone else.
