If you're a Teen Mom 2 fan, then by now you've likely heard about the 48-hour disaster that was this weekend's reunion show taping.
The incident that's garnered the most press coverage was the fight between Briana DeJesus and Kailyn Lowry, which was essentially the climax of a several-year feud.
In fact, the fallout from that clash of the Teen Mom titans was so widespread it was felt as far away as North Carolina.
Jenelle Evans and David Eason didn't attend this year's taping, but they certainly caught wind of Kail and Briana's fisticuffs.
And of course, David felt compelled to offer his two cents on social media.
Is there any situation this guy can't make worse?
David was not invited to attend this year's taping due to an incident that took place at last year's reunion.
At a party for the cast and their families, Eason got drunk, pulled out a knife, and began stabbing a bunch of decorative balloons that had apparently made him angry.
This Effing Guy
Shortly thereafter, Eason was fired from Teen Mom 2 after he launched an unprovoked social media tirade loaded with homophobic slurs.
Pointing the Finger
Believe it or not, David doesn't accept responsibility for the fact that he's no longer welcome at MTV-sponsored events. Instead, he blames Kailyn Lowry and Leah Messer.
Lowry and Messer Forever
Kail and Leah are close friends, and during Messer's recent appearance on Lowry's podcast, they discussed David's behavior at last year's reunion.
Apparently, David thinks it's because of complaints from the cast that he wasn't invited to this year's reunion. (Couldn't have anything to do with those homophobic slurs or the drunken knifeplay.) And now, Eason believes karmic justice has finally been served ...
“I’m so glad Kail got her ass beat!” David wrote in a Facebook post that appeared yesterday.
David went on to accuse Kail of threatening his wife, referring to a joke Lowry made on her podcast about her desire to fight Jenelle. He also accused Chelsea Houska's father, Randy, of reporting incidents from the set to the tabloid press.
“That’s what she gets for saying she would hit my wife! And why is Randy there calling tabloids?” Eason wrote.
Don't Mess With DeJesus
David seems to be under the impression that Kailyn and Briana were involved in some knockdown, drag-out fisticuffs at the reunion. A lot of fans are also laboring under this misconception.
Sadly, this is a case where the reality of the situation is much less compelling than the rumor.
Kail vs. Bri, Round 1
Kail and Bri ALMOST came to blows on two occasions. The first occurred when Kail summoned Briana to speak with her backstage.
According to Briana, Kail attempted to get close enough to fight her, but she was kept at a safe distance by a trio of security guards.
Kail vs. Bri, Round 2
Shortly thereafter, Kail and Bri met again. This time, they were on stage, and it was Bri who went on the offensive.
Once Again, Bri With the Color Commentary
Briana says she and Kail were restrained once again during their second encounter. Both parties concur that the only actual violence that took place over the weekend occurred when Bri's sister, Brittany DeJesus, pulled Kail's hair.
Setting the Record Straight
Kail even took to Twitter to clarify that at no point over the weekend did anyone strike her.
So why is David under the impression that Kail "got her ass beat"? Well, it seems that in this case, as in all others, Eason is relying on faulty intelligence.
A Chance to Speak?
Sources say that since Jenelle didn't make the trip to New York for the reunion, Dr. Drew Pinsky and a film crew will be traveling to her home to tape an interview. Will David finally get a chance to offer his two cents? Don't count on it ...
In all likelihood, David will never appear on MTV again, except in reruns. The network says they've cut ties with Eason for good, and they stand by their decision. Guess he'll have to keep venting on Facebook like the rest of us.
