Daughter Asks Mom for Homemade Bread Recipe, Immediately Regrets It

by at .

Krista Ball just wanted to bake something delicious for her family this holiday season.

The Newfoundland, Canada native sent what she believed was a simple text message request to her mother recently, asking how to make her mother's beloved bread for her own immediate family.

What followed, however, was anything but simple.

Try to follow along below, as Ball attempts to remain calm and collected in the face of her mother's less-than-detailed description...

1. Homemade Bread is Delicious

Homemade Bread is Delicious
We'll start with that simple statement. It's easy to buy at the store, but sometimes it can be worth putting in the time at home.

2. So That Brings Us to Krista

So That Brings Us to Krista
She reached out and asked her mom for a bread recipe. And it started out easy enough. Six loaves is a lot, but sure, right?

3. You Need a Big Bag

You Need a Big Bag
But not TOO big. And not too small, either, just so we're clear.

4. Where is "That Place?"

Where is "That Place?"
Alberta. Now that this is settled, let's move on, shall we?

5. The Pan Must Be Big

The Pan Must Be Big
Let me make that as clear and as repetitive as I can. We're talking a BIG pan here, Krista.

6. This Doesn't Seem Very Technical

This Doesn't Seem Very Technical
But great cooks sort of improvise, right? We're still following along... so far.

7. Not Double

Not Double
A bit more than double. (And is the mother calling Krista a "maid" here. We think so, right?)

8. Not Three Packs!

Not Three Packs!
Are you mad? That's too much yeast! You just need one three-pack, okay?

9. I Don't Use Cups to Measure

I Don't Use Cups to Measure
I use your dad's glass mug. You have one of those lying around, right?

10. Why Wouldn't She Be Able to Afford All Mlik?

Why Wouldn't She Be Able to Afford All Mlik?
We don't know her finances, but milk is very cheap. That's all we're saying.

11. Just Milk. Got It.

Just Milk. Got It.
Just milk?!? Are you crazy, Krista?!? Focus, maid!

12. Yes, a Big Pan

Yes, a Big Pan
We've been over this. That's not what I meant.

13. 400... Degrees?!?

400... Degrees?!?
Are you trying to burn it to a crisp?!? Calm down and do 350, sheesh.

14. On How Full the Oven Is?

On How Full the Oven Is?
LOL.Let's just assume the bread is the only thing going in the oven, okay?

15. We Don't Know How the Bread Turned Out

We Don't Know How the Bread Turned Out
But we do know Krista has the sympathy of, like, every Twitter user.

16. Maybe Have Them Write Down All Family Recipes?

Maybe Have Them Write Down All Family Recipes?
It just seems easier that way.
