News about TV renewals and cancelations is always a bloodbath, and the 2018 cancelation news was no different.
But some shows received mixed news. The Lethal Weapon TV series has been renewed for a third season, but with an unexpected twist.
Clayne Crawford, one of the lead actors on the show, will not be returning. His role will be recast.
A number of fans took to Twitter to express their shock and outrage. A number of them even directed their ire at his costar, Damon Wayans, whom they blamed for the casting decision.
Damon tweeted that he was not responsible ... but also revealed that he was not sad to see Clayne go.
Why? Because, among other things, he says that Clayne injured him on set, and that he was not Clayne's only alleged victim.
Things got very heated, and he even shared a short video of himself receiving an injury. Take a look to see his tweets and Clayne's response to the news.

But Damon Wayans is about to make it very clear that they were only playing nice for the cameras.
Damon decides to reveal all, starting with a video
Damon waited until it was confirmed that Lethal Weapon would be picked up for a third season before revealing all of this.
Take a look at the injury that he says that Clayne caused
The episode, he alleges, was directed by Clayne, and resulted in Clayne getting reprimanded
Here's a photo of the aftermath
This is not for the faint of heart. Sorry.
This tweet is weird
We understand that Damon is angry and also being a little tongue-in-cheek, but this does not really spell out clearly what happened.
Damon feels abandoned by the network
Because fans are blaming him for Clayne's firing, he shares a photo to make it clear that there were widespread negative feelings about Clayne.
This is not a sticker that you see at a happy workplace
Clayne would reportedly cause people on set to break down into tears.
Damon's accusations get more intense
We don't know if this was another alleged directorial mishap ... or if he is alleging intentional violence. Either way, it's a major accusation.
For the last time, Damon insists that he did not get Clayne fired
Quite frankly, he does not believe that he could have gotten Clayne fired. Sadly, he has a point.
Damon Wayans says goodbye
He has since deleted his entire Twitter ... though it is unclear if this was his decision or in response to pressure.
He did, however, promise that this season will be good
Sometimes, shows recast key roles. It's a bad situation, but you make it work.
Clayne Crawford responded to the news
It can't be easy to find out that your show is renewed but that you yourself are canceled.
But Clayne had to have guessed that it might happen ...
Clayne posted this back in April, addressing reports of his alleged on-set behavior
Clayne paints a different picture than Damon does
Was Clayne well-respected on set or not? Perhaps some admired him and others loathed him. Life can be like that sometimes.
These were his wishes last month.
Well, those coworkers ARE sticking with the show. But Clayne is not.
