It’s that time of the television season.
That very, very sad time during which we learn the fates of our favorite comedies and dramas.
Which shows have already gotten the axe and will NOT return in 2018-2019?
Break out the Kleenex and scroll down to find out…
Designated Survivor

Good effort, Kiefer. Can you return to 24 now?!?!?!?
The Mick

It’s always sunny in Philadelphia, but a dark cloud officially hangs over The Mick, which is over after two seasons.
Last Man on Earth

Fox strikes again. Season 4 was the last season of Last Man on Earth.
Valor

We forgot this was even a show on The CW. Probably explains why it only lasted one season.
Life Sentence

Darn, we love Lucy Hale. But this CW series never gained any traction and is over after one season.
The Originals

At least we had warning: The CW announced prior to 2018 that this would be the final fun for this Vampire Diaries spinoff.
Once Upon a Time

Ditto for this ABC hit. We’ve known for awhile that Season 7 would be the swan song.
New Girl

New Girl almost didn’t even receive a Season 7 order, but then we learned it would be given a chance to complete its hilarious run with eight installments.
The Americans

We think The Americans has been the best show on TV for years. We were given the heads-up after Season 4 that two more seasons remained.
The Expanse

Syfy pulled the plug in this fun drama after three seasons.
Taken

Taken was on for two seasons at NBC?!? We had no clue. But now it’s been axed.
Ash vs. Evil Dead

We were thrilled when this movie was turned into a series by Starz. Alas, it is over after three seasons.
The Brave

NBC only gave The Brave one season before figuring fans had had enough.
The Exoricst

The Exoricist did not scare up enough viewers on Fox to warrant a new season.
Lucifer

And neither did Lucifer. This show has also been canceled by Fox.
Quantico

Quantico opened strong on ABC. But it then lost momentum and has now been axed.
Ten Days in the Valley

No shock here. Ten Days in the Valley aired its final episode months ago on ABC.
The Crossing

We swear: The Crossing was a show on ABC for a season. But not any longer.
Rise

We like cheesy, but Rise proved to be way too cheesy for most people’s tastes. It has been canceled.
Marvel’s Inhumans

Did you know Marvel’s Inhumans ever aired on ABC? Most viewers did not.
Deception

It had a unique concept, that’s for certain. But ABC fans didn’t care.
Kevin (Probably) Saves the World

Terrible title. Decent sitcom. No longer a series.
Scorpion

After four seasons on CBS, this run is over.
Kevin Can Wait

This sitcom has been taken off the air by CBS after two seasons.
9JKL

This sitcom was likely doomed once it had this terrible title.
