In three words, Catelynn Lowell?
You. Go. Girl!
The veteran Teen Mon star really doesn’t have time for anyone’s crap right now, not when she’s carrying a child in her womb and dealing with an unusual marital situation .
This s why Catelynn jumped on Instagram this week and just let all the haters have it.
She didn’t call anyone out by name or handle, but she made it VERY clear that they all suck. There’s really no other way to put it.
Scroll down to see what we mean…
I’m Pregnant! Catelynn made this exciting announcement in September of 2018, expressing excitement and shock over the news.
Why Shock? She and Tyler sadly suffered through a miscarriage just months before learning they were expecting again — and, to be blunt, they were not actively trying to get pregnant.
But Mistakes Happen! (MTV) And this is a blessed one. “This baby is our rainbow after the storm. I’m super excited,” Catelynn said upon confirming the news, adding: “It was a huge shock at first. We were not planning it, especially after the miscarriage and how I went downhill with my mental illness.”
What Will They Be Having? Another girl. The long-time couple welcomed a daughter many years ago, who they gave up for adoption, and are also parents to a three-year old named Nova who they love and share.
Sounds Great. So What’s Going On Now? We can’t say exactly. But Catelynn is definitely angry and hurt over SOMEthing.
Disgusting People Disgust Me! Sharing a screenshot from Snapchat on Instagram, the MTV star wrote the following yesterday: “Some of [you] people disgust me! How can we treat other women with such hate & nasty words? Especially when they [are] carrying a child!!! No wonder I didn’t use social media [for] the longest time! At least I can go [to] sleep knowing I’m not an evil, vile person.”
Not Everyone Sucks, Though Catelynn did give some props to her fans in the caption to this screen shot.
Catelynn SO Does Not Need the Harassment Right Now (MTV) Lowell has been through a ton in the last year, starting with the aforementioned miscarriage… which prompted suicidal thoughts that sent her to inpatient treatment in a mental health facility away from husband and three-year-old daughter.
She’s Doing A Lot Better Now, But… … Tyler asked for a quasi separation upon learning of the pregnancy news. He said they both need some time apart to work on themselves outside of the marriage, a request that really threw Catelynn for a loop when she discussed it on air.
This is What She Said on a December Episode of Teen Mom OG: “In that moment [he asked for the separation], it did trigger me; it did bring up wounds. It was scary; it was sad; it was hurtful. Things that I’ve been through, when when people separate and say they want to leave, it seriously feels like somebody died. It’s bringing up the old wounds from the miscarriage, and that’s traumatic.”
Could They Actually Get Divorced? No, no, no, Tyler insists. He recently spoke to Us Weekly and clarified this whole separation thing, saying: “It’s funny because we actually don’t even call it separation anymore. We say, ‘Let’s just do 30 days of self-reflection time. You get to focus on you, I get to focus on me. We’ll continue to do couples’ therapy.”
How Are They Working Out Their Issues? As Tyler mentioned: therapy. “We’ve got a great therapist who works really good with us, so [we’re] kind of following her advice on top of the separation, whatever you wanna call it,” he says.
“We Call It 30 Days of Self-Reflection” This is how Tyler and Catelynn are labeling their situation when they choose to live separately. He adds: “When you say ‘separation,’ everyone’s like, ‘Oh my god, a separation?” It’s not like we’re seeing other people or we’re not talking at all or not spending time with each other.”
We’re in Love. We Want to Be Together Forever. (MTV) “The main goal is to stay with my wife and live this life,” Tyler just said. “We love each other. It’s crazy because when you do grow up with each other, no one can really understand the bond.”
Great! When is the Baby Due? In March. It’s getting close quickly!
So Please Give Catelynn a Break, Okay? And while you’re at it, give almost everyone a break on the Internet. Stop with the hate. Try to embrace some love. The world could use it.
