On Sunday night’s 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, Jay Smith was caught cheating and ended up getting roughed up over it.
To be clear, not by Ashley — by the owner of the barbershop where he’d chosen to have a bathroom hookup.
(That place is not a Waffle House bathroom; don’t treat it like one)
Jay told her that it was “just” oral sex — which is still sex, and still cheating.
Ashley had to hear the truth for herself.
So she spoke to Jay’s “other woman” to get the full story — even if it was very hard to hear.
Ashley needed closure about Jay’s (second) cheating scandal
After getting the bad news from Jay’s friends at the barbershop, Ashley didn’t leave it at that. She needed to know the truth — not Jay’s watered-down version of events.
Here’s why she bothered to contact Jay
“So, I called him on FaceTime cause I wanted to see his face,” Ashley explains to her friend. “He claims that she just gave him a blow job in the bathroom.” Which is still cheating — and still sex.
Jay offered a terrible excuse
“He said, “I was giving her a tattoo, she asked if I wanted a blow job and it just happened.’ That’s what he said,” Ashley recalls.
Who was she?
Ashley tells her friend that it was “Some girl that was there getting a tattoo.”
What’s worse? Ashley recognized the girl
“Hold up, this is the best part,†Ashley reveals. “He took me to her f–king cookout and was like, ‘Oh yeah, it’s people from the shop’ — which it was. It was all the guys, she had a f–king cookout and he took me to it.”
Ashley wasn’t exactly mad at the mistress
She was just curious to hear what information she had to offer. And it was when Ashley was packing Jay’s belongings into a trash bag that she received a call from the woman.
She’s so sorry
“I just wanted to call you and to basically kind of face this, apologize,” the woman tells Ashley. Just because she didn’t know doesn’t mean that she doesn’t feel bad for unwittingly playing this role.
And she didn’t know
“I had no idea that you and him were together,†the woman tells Ashley.
She’d never want to be The Other Woman
“Obviously, if I had known, I wouldn’t have done what went down,” she primises Ashley. “So I just wanted to let you know the truth.”
She met Jay at that cookout
It was in the summer of 2018. For reference, this cheating incident would have happened in late 2018.
He started it
“I had come into the barbershop and getting ready to start the tattoo,” the woman explains. “And he kinda was like touching me, kind of caressing me.”
That fits
We all remember how 90 Day Fiance introduced us all to Jay in a video where he bragged about women getting turned on as he gave them tattoos. It was tone-deaf then but it’s even worse now.
The touching soon became more intimate
“And then one thing kind of just lead to another,†the other woman continues. “We went into the bathroom and had sex.” Hey, that’s how life goes sometimes.
She says that it was more than just a BJ
“We did pretty much anything that you could think of,” she admits to Ashley, countering Jay’s claim that it was “only” oral sex on him.
Ashley had an issue with the woman’s story
“Did you not know who I was? Cause I know exactly who you are,†Ashley challenges her. Following a pause, the woman replies: “No, I didn’t.”
Ashley’s temper got the better of her
“Okay, well he’s single now so if you’re at all interested,” Ashley tells her. “But thanks for calling.”
Somehow, we doubt that she’ll jump at that chance
In fact, we know that Ashley and Jay got back together after this. They reconciled in January and were together until they broke up again in early April — after Jay allegedly cheated yet again. (just stop, dude!)
And as for Ashley …
Her mental health took a turn for the worse as she tried to process being repeatedly humiliated by Jay, but she’s working on herself and taking time to heal.
This time, they’re not getting back together
Especially because Jay is allegedly getting deported in a couple of months — if you believe Ashley’s claims. There’s nothing not-awkward about any of that.
