We have a major update on what transpired early on the morning of July 5 between Amber Portwood and Andrew Glennon.
As you very likely know by now, Portwood was arrested on that date for felony domestic assault -- and her victim was both her long-time boyfriend and the father of her one-year old son, James.
According to official Indiana state police records, Glennon texted 911 because Portwood had allegedly attacked him with a shoe while he was cradling their child.
What else to we know about what transpired?
Thanks to an exclusive, in-depth report by The Ashley, the answer is... A LOT.
And none of it paints Amber in a very positive light.
Scroll down to sadly see what we mean...
A Quick Rundown:
Amber was taken into custody around 6 a.m. on Friday, July 5, about three hours after Glennon texted 911 and claimed his girlfriend had assaulted him while he was holding James.
It Sounds Pretty Scary
"I need help. My life and my son's life is in danger," Andrew wrote to the authorities, prompting officers to be sent to the couple's home.
What Happened in the Attack?
The official report states that Portwood struck Andrew in the side of the neck with a shoe.
Amber Does Not Deny This
"Ms. Portwood stated that she did indeed strike (her boyfriend) with a shoe," Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer Ryan Salisbury wrote in his filing, adding: "But [she] stated that 'it was in the shoulder and I barely hit him.'"
Is This Just a He Said/She Said?
Not really. An officer at the home says he observed scratches and red marks on Andrew's neck, while an evidence technician took photographs of the injuries. These have not been made public.
Yes, Baby James Was Present
But not injured, thankfully. Also, Glennon also told officers that Portwood has hit him numerous times in the past and has threatened him countless times, too.
