2017 will be a huge year for fans who like to watch a lot of TV.

With a string of new shows that are poised to be the next big hits, could this be the year that most of the new shows make it to second seasons?

1. 24: Legacy

24: Legacy
24: Legacy will see The Walking Dead's Corey Hawkins take on the lead role. We've already laid eyes on the first episode and if you were a fan of the original series, you're in for a treat. It debuts after the Super Bowl on February 5, before settling into its regular slot on Monday.

2. Big Little Little Lies

Big Little Little Lies
Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley star in this miniseries about three mothers whose seemingly perfect lives start to spiral out of control. HBO is airing the series from February 19.

3. Emerald City

Emerald City
This show has been waiting in the wings for quite some time and having viewed the whole season, it's pretty great. If you're looking for another fantasy epic to bridge the gap to the return of Game of Thrones, look no further than Emerald City. It debuts on January 6.

4. Famous In Love

Bella Thorne returns to TV in a new TV show from the creator of Pretty Little Liars. It will follow a young woman as she navigates West Hollywood as an actress. It debuts out of Pretty Little Liars on April 18.

5. Homeland

Homeland
Can you believe that we've went a whole year without a fresh episode of Homeland? The political drama series returns to its roots in Season 6, with a compelling character return. It returns January 15.

6. Scandal

Scandal
We've waited a long time to find out who the heck won the race for POTUS, but will Olivia and Fitz finally manage to carve out a relationship? We can't wait to have this one back on January 19.

7. Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
Neil Patrick Harris shines as Count Olaf in this new Netflix series that follows him as he tries to steal the inheritance of children put into his care. It debuts January 13.

8. Powerless

Powerless
The DC TV universe is becoming a bit saturated, but NBC has a new take on it with Powerless. This one will be a sitcom with Vanessa Hudgens. It will premiere February 2.

9. The 100

The 100
After a mediocre third season, the series looks set to return to focusing on the core cast and the first trailer looked pretty great. It returns February 1.

10. Girls

Girls
This award-winning series has just one season left and we're not ready to say goodbye to Hannah, Marnie, Jessa and Shoshanna. The end begins February 12.

11. Reign

Reign
After getting rid of half the cast, the final season will focus on Mary's final journey, but will the series choose to stick to fact, or continue to use fiction for the plots? You'll find out on February 10.

12. Riverdale

Having viewed the first four episodes, this is definitely the best new show of the season. It's like Gossip Girl meets Pretty Little Liars, but with way more twists. It debuts January 26.

13. Imposters

Imposters
Imposter marks Bravo's second foray into the scripted drama market and it looks fantastic. The series will focus around a con artist who gets men and women to fall in love with her, but little does she know that three of them are coming after her. It debuts February 7.

If you're looking for something to fill that Empire shaped hole in your life, then look no further than the latest hit from Lee Daniels. It has Queen Latifah as a no nonsense salon owner. It's great! Catch it every Wednesday on Fox.

15. The Good Fight

The Good Fight
If you're missing The Good Wife, you can take solace in the fact that you can follow Diane Lockhart and Lucca Quinn in a new law firm. There's a catch: It will air exclusively on CBS All Access after the premiere on February 19.

16. The Originals

The Originals
The original family have been hiding out in a virtual world while Hayley finds a way to save them. This series is a cut above it's parent series, The Vampire Diaries. It returns March 17.

17. Santa Clarita Diet

Santa Clarita Diet
Drew Barrymore returns to acting in Netflix's latest series. She may, or may not play a zombie. We're in! It debuts with all episodes February 3.

18. Pretty Little Liars

Pretty Little Liars
Will the liars finally unravel the many mysteries? They have just 10 episodes left and we could not be more excited for the end. It debuts April 18.

19. Revenge Body With Khloe Kardashian

Revenge Body With Khloe Kardashian
Khloe Kardashian is ringing in the new year by helping fans get the bodies they want. It debuts January 12.
