Lawyers for Teresa Giudice confirm that the disgraced reality star checked herself in to Danbury Correctional Facility in Connecticut as scheduled.

She checked in around 3 a.m. Monday morning, the first day of her 15-month term.

No tables have been flipped since Teresa Giudice reported to prison … probably.

If you watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online, or even if you don’t, you likely know she pleaded guilty to bankruptcy and wire fraud and conspiracy.

Husband Joe will follow in her footsteps when she gets out, serving 41 months.

The judge did not show much mercy, but allowed The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars to do time separately so one could be with their girls.

They have four daughters, all under the age of 14.

Sources say Teresa’s first hours at Danbury included a strip search and a psychological assessment, which could take hours knowing this character.

Then there’s the other prisoners to consider, too.

“She may be tested by other inmates because of her notoriety,” a celebrity gossip source says of Teresa. “More in the way of snide remarks than threats.”

You do the crime, you do the time … but here’s hoping she’s doing alright, and hasn’t had to file any bars of soap down into crude shanks just yet.
