Ashton Kutcher has signed on to make a sub-orbital flight when Richard Branson and crew take off in Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo rocket plane.
The journey will afford each of the specially selected “astronauts” a chance to travel 50,000 feet into space, giving them a full zero-gravity experience and a dazzling view of earth.
After plunking down $200,000, the Two and a Half Men actor got the nod from Branson, “Ashton is joining a fast expanding group of true pioneers who are on their way to a life changing experience and a place in the history books. It’s great to have him on board.”
He continued, “I gave Ashton a quick call to congratulate and welcome him. He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier with us and to experience the magic of space for himself.”
Others rumored to be on his space roster include Stephen Hawking, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Katy Perry, Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Tom Hanks.
