Michelle Obama, who has taken a leading role in the battle to reverse childhood obesity, was a guest today on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Show host Ellen DeGeneres inquired about whether Barack Obama was a neat freak, and then did a total 180 and challenged the First Lady to a push-up contest.

The pair dropped to the carpet and did a side by side demonstration as the audience shouted out each push-up completion.

DeGeneres caved at 20 and Michelle was still going strong when she halted at 25 without breaking a sweat. She got in one last shot at Ellen, who was visibly huffing and puffing, with the quip, “I just stopped.”

It turns out Obama begins her daily workout at 5:30 a.m. and is known to spend as much as 90 minutes a day in the White House gym.
