It will be a New Year’s Eve to remember for Miami Heat star Lebron James and Savannah Brinson. The NBA star popped the question in South Beach last night while enjoying a dinner party at the Shelborne Hotel.
The couple reside in Coconut Grove, a Miami suburb, where James bought a three-story mansion overlooking Biscayne Bay for $9 million a year ago – view exterior and interior photos here.
The newly-engaged couple were in the company of their two sons LeBron Jr., 7, and Bryce, 4 during the evening festivities.
Right after Brinson said “yes” the Miami Heat athlete picked up his kids and swung them around on the floor. According to a rep, “It was so sweet to watch. Everyone is extremely happy.”
Heat teammate Dwayne Wade and his girlfriend Gabrielle Union hosted the party which was not only a New Year’s Eve bash but also a birthday celebration for James, who turned 27 on Friday.
Chris Bosh and Queen Latifah were among the 60 friends and family members who witnessed the engagement as it unfolded.
