14-year-old Dakota Fanning is in talks to play Jane in New Moon, the sequel to Summit Entertainment’s hit vampire movie Twilight.
Described as a petite blonde with a “Botticelli angel-like face and crimson irises, Jane is a member of Italy’s Volturi, the most deadly group of vampires in Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling series.
“I really hope it works out,” Fanning told E! online. “It would be so much fun.”
“I think that the actors are amazing. It would be really cool to be a part of that. I’m a big fan.”
A rep for Summit Entertainment confirmed that Dakota is being considered for the role.
