Las Vegas was the hot spot to be last night for the Miss America Pageant 2009. The live TLC broadcast took place at the Planet Hollywood resort. The winner was Miss Indiana, Katie Stam. See Miss America 2010 winner coverage here.
Mario Lopez hosted the 52 women, who ranged in age from 17 to 24 years of age in the final competition. Reigning Miss America 2008 Kirsten Haglund was on hand to relinquish her duties and crown the new Miss America 2009.
Preliminary judging had been taking place over three nights.
