It was actually Bieber fans who started the fake engagement news. Not only did they fabricate the story, they even made it appear that TMZ reported the story.
Someone cleverly put together a photo of “Hailey’s hand” displaying an engagement ring. The photo was even watermarked with TMZ’s logo.
The Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin story went viral, and the world momentarily fell apart. Fans seemed to be torn about the news.
Some expressed shock, disgust, and even a little happiness.
Once it came out that it was just a prank, Bieber fans got their sh!t back together and back on their A-game in case they ever get the chance to become Mrs. Bieber.
Some think TMZ might have been behind the prank too.
Once fans calmed down about the fake engagement, they flipped out again over his new haircut (it’s always something with these Beliebers).
“Justin had his hair chopped off because it was damaged from all the bleaching,” a source told HollywoodLife. “But let’s just put it this way — he looks really sexy now.”
