Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t letting a conscious uncoupling get her down.
The pompous Oscar winner took to Instagram yesterday and posted a sweet photo of herself and son Moses, including with it a caption that celebrated a special day for the family.
“Moses Bruce Paltrow Martin turns 8 today. We love you!” the actress wrote.
Of course, this family is undergoing a crisis at the moment.
Paltrow and Chris Martin (sort of) shocked the world a couple weeks ago by announcing their divorce after a decade of marriage.
Since then, an affair between Martin and a Saturday Night Live employee has been alleged, while Paltrow is accused of possibly sleeping with Glee producer Brad Falchuck.
It’s a pretty big mess all around.
Not that you’d know it by listening to Paltrow or by looking at her smile in the above image.
In late March, she and Martin posted a joint statement on the GOOP website that read "it is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate" and included:
"We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us."
Based on a few quotes the star herself uttered over the years, though, it was pretty clear that love wasn’t in the cards:
