Jenelle Evans has been unemployed for several years.
Evans was fired from Teen Mom 2 back in 2019, and for most of that time, she and husband David Eason scraped by on sponsored content and other earnings cadged from social media.
Jenelle and David joined OnlyFans last month, and while their adult pics and videos seem to be earning them a decent income, interest in seeing the Easons nude content is sure to drop off after the initial novelty wears off.
From the moment that MTV kicked her to the curb, Jenelle has fixated on the idea of returning to the show that made her famous.
That will almost certainly never happen, as Evans’ many instances of bigotry and child abuse have made her untouchable from a business standpoint.
But that won’t stop the mother of three from trying.
And we would be surprised if she doesn’t attempt to capitalize on a recent surge of interest from fans.
As you’re probably aware, Teen Mom 2 ratings have been declining for years.
The trend began while Jenelle was still on the show, and the viewership really fell off a cliff after Chelsea Houska quit the series in 2020.
At this point, the situation is so dire that MTV has decided to combine Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2 into one spinoff series entitled Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.
Obviously, that will mean less screen time for all of the remaining moms, and Kailyn Lowry has already quit the franchise either in protest or because of an unwillingness to change with the times.
But even though MTV is currently winnowing the cast down, Reddit users have been wondering what would happen if the network decided to go in the opposite direction.
“If you had to, who would you bring back?” asked a poll on the subreddit devoted to Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2.
Two thousand votes were cast, and almost half of them went to Jenelle.
Of course, the respondents’ reasons for voting for Evans were not exactly flattering.
“Jenelle because I love train wrecks,” one person wrote, according to UK tabloid The Sun.
“She brings all the drama,” another added.
“Jenelle PERIOD,” wrote a Redditor who echoed many of the other replies when they added:
“She makes for good reality tv lol.”
Jenelle and David’s scenes were certainly never boring, which is something that cannot be said for many of Evans’ castmates.

But if they were ever to consider bringing the Easons back to the Teen Mom-iverse, MTV execs would have to consider far more than just the couple’s entertainment value.
After all, the network fired these two for a reason.
In fact, it fired them for many reasons, and some of them involved a CPS investigation and some shocking instances of animal cruelty.
So Jenelle probably shouldn’t plan on making her triumphant return to MTV anytime soon.
But we’re sure that she enjoyed finding out just how many viewers would like to see it.
