Tyler Cameron has broken his silence.
On a topic the former Bachelorette finalist wishes he never had to discuss.
As previously and tragically reported, Cameron lost his mother last Friday.
Just a day after the reality star had to cancel a television appearance due to a self-described "family emergency," Tyler’s mom, Andrea, passed away.
The news was confirmed by a close friend on Facebook, although Andrea’s cause of death was never announced and Cameron himself did not speak out on the tragedy,
“Today heaven gained an angel,” Cameron captioned an Instagram photo last night.
The moving image showed him and his brothers holding their mom’s hand in the hospital — and his message continued as follows;
“We will love and miss our mother dearly. She will live on through us and through those that she has had an impact on."
"While we grieve, we ask for two things: First, tell those you love that you love them; and second, please let us take this time to celebrate her life in private."
"Thank you for all of your love and support."
Andrea was rushed to the hospital late last week for an unknown health issue, and sadly never recovered.
“Please pray for my mom and my family,” Cameron Tweeted after canceling an appearance on Good Morning America and flying down to Florida to be with his ailing parent.
Brothers Ryan Cameron and Austin Cameron echoed Tyler’s call for support on social media at the time.
“God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers. Pray for my momma,” Ryan captioned an Instagram Story after Andrea was hospitalized.
Cameron became a fan-favorite on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette.
He advanced all the way to the final two, only for Hannah to select Jed Wyatt as her preferred husband.
However, within weeks of Brown choosing Jed over Tyler, she then dumped Jed because he had not been straight with her about a woman he had dated back home.
Shortly afterward, Hannah and Tyler went on a few dates, leading fans to think it might work out after all. But alas …
Cameron’s whirlwind (and very public) dating life than took yet another turn when he got together with model Gigi Hadid.
The former ABC suitor and the famous runway walker enjoyed a brief fling last year before going their separate ways.
Tyler was also linked to another former Bachelorette star, Andi Dorfman, though it doesn’t look like that went anywhere.
These stories were all good and fun to report on at the time… and many folks wiithin Bachelor Nation probably still wish Cameron had ended up with Brown.
But romance is the last thing on Tyler’s mind right now, we’re sure.
“Tyler is utterly devastated and in shock. It doesn’t feel real,” a source told Us Weekly on Sunday, March 1 of his mom’s passing.
“His entire family is strong as hell but their world has been shattered.”
We send our condolences to Tyler, his friends, family members and loved ones.
May Andrea Cameron rest in peace.
