Rumors that Kim Kardashian wants to divorce Kanye West for being, you know, nuts, seem to have died down.
In fact, a new report says that Kim and Ye have big plans for 2020: working on Baby #5!
North is 6. Saint is 4. Chicago is almost 2. And the wee baby Psalm is about 8 months old.
But RadarOnline reports that Kim and Kanye are aiming for a fifth child, and that one of them in particular is the driving force behind it.
"Kanye’s pushing hard for this," an insider reports.
The source continues: "and he’s been very vocal about wanting to get things started right away."
Apparently, Kanye has a very particular motive for wanting a fifth child. Two motives, actually.
"Kanye wants as many blood heirs to inherit his legacy,” the insider alarmingly states.
I think that "blood heirs" is one of the weirdest terms that I have ever heard.
The source adds: “he says it’s no coincidence that he and Kim got back on track after the last baby came into their lives."
Kanye isn't the only one who reportedly wants this.
Kim Kardashian will be turning 40 this October. That's a major life milestone.
"She’s got this ‘now or never’ attitude about having one more kid," the source claims.
And while things may not quite be a biological clock for Kim, there does come a time when someone feels too old to be chasing a toddler.
Unproven reports had claimed that Kim and Kanye were struggling in their marriage before Psalm was born.
"Kim and Kanye are barely speaking,” an insider claimed at the time.
Without proof, the source also alleged: They don’t spend that much time together at all."
Whether or not that was ever true, we hope that everyone knows that a child should never be burdened with existence just to "fix" a marriage.
Of course, trying for a baby for Kimye doesn't mean having lots and lots of unprotected sex like it does for most couples.
Kim's pregnancies are extremely difficult and even life-threatening.
She had both Chicago and Psalm via what is colloquially referred to as "surrogacy."
In truth, she and Kanye had a gestational carrier -- but the embryo was conceived using their gametes.
In the past, Kim has opened up about how the physical difficulty of her nearly fatal pregnancies is replaced by emotional difficulty with a surrogate.
She described a gestational carrier pregnancy as "so much harder to go through."
At the time, she explained that it was emotionally challenging "because you are not really in control."
We can understand that. Surrogacy is like the pregnancy form of a long-distance relationship.
The latest rumors about Kim's alleged desire to divorce Kanye claimed that they stem from his reported desire to move to Wyoming.
While that is a very good reason to divorce someone, we're less than convincd that it's true.
A lot of people have a tendency to project how they would respond to something onto celebrities, especially those whom they like.
Kanye is bonkers, but Kim loves him. If she can endure his "dragon energy" tweets and his erratic nonsense, she'll put up with anything.
Love isn't rational. And neither is having a fifth child to secure a marital bond. We hope that this is just a rumor.
