Earlier this fall, Gina Kirschenheiter unveiled her new boyfriend, a major hottie named Travis Mullen.
Things have been bad between Gina and her ex, Matt, but she reveals that she actually let him and Travis meet.
Over the weekend, Gina Kirschenheiter was one of many Real Houewives who took part in the panels at Bravocon, the network's first convention.
During the "The Juice Is Worth The Squeeze" panel, Gina revealed that Matt Kirschenheiter and Travis Mullen have now met.
"He was like, ‘Don’t worry; he’s a really great guy, and I wish you the best,'" Gina said of Matt's response.
That's ... a bit of a surprise, actually. But definitely a good surprise.
On September, Gina revealed Travis to her fans and followers.
She shared that he knows nothing of the reality TV world or of Real Housewives as a franchise.
Though a mutual friend set them up, neither of them were expecting to like each other.
Despite those negative expectations, they ended up really clicking with each other. That's great!
It's a bit of a surprise to hear that Matt was allegedly so chill about the meeting.
Even earlier this year, as we've seen on these episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County, he sounded jealous and possessive.
Gina admitted to having hooked up with him a year after they had filed for divorce.
She had also confessed that she'd chickened out of telling him that she was going out of town with a man, romantically.
Unfortunately, in June of this year, things went from bad to worse with Gina and Matt.
Matt Kirschenheiter was arrested for domestic battery after allegedly striking, dragging, pulling, and threatening to kill his ex.
All of this took place late at night, in (and outside, when she tried to escape) her own home.
Throughout the alleged assault, Gina and Matt's three young children were asleep in the same house. Horrifying.
It is possible that Gina's story at Bravocon was an embellishment, though we are of course not accusing her of anything of the sort.
One could absolutely understand if she chose to gloss over any unpleasantness. She has already dealt with so much this year.
On the other hand, it might mean that Matt has gone through some personal growth and decided to be less of an awful dingbat.
That would be good, though of course would not excuse his behavior in June. Nothing could earn him forgiveness for that.
Though we know that the Reunion Special for Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Orange County has already been filmed, it will air next month.
We have to wonder how many questions Andy may have asked about Matt and the alleged attack in June.
Will Gina open up, or will we see her minimize the horror of it, perhaps thinking that she's doing her children a favor?
Either way, we hope that she remains safe and happy and that so do her children. And congrats, as always, on the hot new boyfriend.
