As it sadly turns out, not even a "miracle baby" could save Kenya Moore and Marc Daly.
Two years after The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member and her husband exchanged vows, and 10 months after Moore welcomed a child into the world at age 48...
... the couple has announced its split.
In a statement to People Magazine on Thursday afternoon, this is what Moore said about the unfortunate development:
“It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband Marc Daly.
"Due to recent and ongoing circumstances, I can no longer continue in the marriage. My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby.
"She was made in love and true commitment. I ask for our privacy to be respected moving forward.”
Those are especially strong, interesting and noteworthy words for multiple reasons.
FIRST, couple nearly always say they are "separating," not straight-up "divorcing," presumably to leave themselves a bit of wiggle room in case they choose to get back together.
SECOND, recent and ongoing circumstances sounds rather ominous, doesn't it?
Notice that this wasn't joint statement, either, and that Kenya didn't wish Marc the best going forward or anything.
We hate to speculate, but we can understand why there may be talk of infidelity following this announcement.
Moore and have been married since June 2017, when they tied the knot in a romantic sunset ceremony on a St. Lucia beach.
Kenya, who initially starred on seasons 5-10, is returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for season 12 after taking the year off.
She confirmed she was a full-time cast member by showing off her peach this past July.
“I was hungry so I snatched a 🍑,” Moore wrote via Instagram.
Daly, meanwhile, released a statement of his own, which reads as follows:
I have come to the difficult decision to separate from Kenya at this time. Our daughter has two parents that love her very much and in her best interests, this situation should remain as private as possible.
I cherish our family’s good times together and will continue to co-parent in a loving way.
Rumors, innuendo or false accusations only serve to hurt our family and will be addressed through counsel as the law permits. Please respect our privacy during this challenging period.
Moore and Daly were together as recently as Tuesday night, when they attended a benefit reception the latter hosted in honor of the Black Man Lab at the Wimbish House in Atlanta.
According to Radar Online, however, this is where some sort of explosive confrontation took place -- in front of Bravo cameras, naturally.
“Marc told Eva’s [Marcille] husband that he is tired of Kenya’s s**t,” the source told Radar. “He called her an attention whore.”
The main issue, this insider alleges? Daly's displeasure with being filmed.
“It has been coming ever since she started filming again," this website writes. "Marc doesn’t return her calls, he doesn’t come to Atlanta, doesn’t see their baby. It is all very upsetting to Kenya.”
We can imagine.
And we wish these two very best in their days ahead.
