Usually, Duggar news updates are in some way related to birth and procreation.
Sadly, today we must take time to acknowledge the opposite point on the circle of life, as we offer our condolences to TV's favorite fundamentalist family.
Mary Duggar, who was 78, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 9.
The mother of Jim Bob Duggar was featured frequently on both 19 Kids and Counting as well as TLC's Counting On.
Mary had just celebrated her 78th birthday on the same day that her granddaughter, Jessa Duggar, welcomed her third daughter Ivy last month.
And although the cause of her death still remains private -- the Duggars are publicly mourning their loss during this difficult time.
"We are so sad to share that Grandma Duggar (Mary) passed away Sunday afternoon, June 9th, 2019," read the post.
"Mary Lester Duggar grew up in Farmington, Arkansas and was married almost 50 years to J.L. (Jimmy Lee) Duggar who preceded her in death..."
"She is survived by her daughter Deanna and her son Jim Bob, 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, with several more great-grandchildren on the way!"
Some might say that she was the luckiest grandmother on the planet.
After all, that's a lot of grandbabies and a heck of a lot of love.
"Mary Duggar was also a successful real estate broker who owned Good Neighbor Realty... Grandma Duggar has been on the TLC shows with her family for over 15 years," the post proceeded.
"She is greatly loved and will be missed so very much!"
"She lived a tremendous life as a follower of Christ, a wife, a devoted mother, a loving mother-in-law, and a much-loved grandmother."
"Proverbs 31:10-31 describes the virtuous woman, indeed she personified these beautiful verses with her life," concluded the post that also shared a sweet photo.
Following the heartbreaking news, the Duggars slowly began to take to their personal social media pages to grieve.
"Great-Grandma Duggar went to heaven today to be with Jesus!" Anna Duggar wrote to Instagram.
"What an awesome woman of faith and such a loving example of God's love."
"She was a true soul-winner and loved everyone she met, telling them to turn from sin and trust Jesus for salvation!" she continued.
"Miss her soooo much and we cherish each moment we were blessed to spend together!"
"Lots of tears being shed here -- grateful for all the prayers," she finished her post which included a fun and silly photo of their grandma.
"My heart breaks," Jill Duggar shared.
"My grandma died suddenly today! She was an amazing woman of God and such a great example to so many!"
"Grandma, you are greatly missed by all who knew you!" she continued.
"She was a feisty, incredible woman who always took the time to talk about Jesus with everyone she knew!
"I know she was ready to check outta here and get her new body in heaven before the old one started giving her too much trouble! We miss you so much!!" the mother of two said.
Austin and Joy-Anna Duggar also took a chance to share their memories of this remarkable woman.
"Grandma Duggar... She was a strong woman, role model, godly counselor...and my favorite person to watch 'The Price is Right' show with," wrote the shared Instagram account.
"She is GREATLY loved & missed!"
Thank you all for your kind words and prayers for our family," they added.
Amy Duggar King additionally honored her "best friend" and grandmother:
"It breaks my heart to write this," she began her post.
"My best friend passed away yesterday afternoon. Jesus sure took home a treasure. I'm at a loss for words, shaking as I even type this out. I loved her so much," Amy added.
"She helped raise me, we did everything together. We've been on countless trips, we had lunch together 3 times a week, and if we weren't together we were either texting or calling each other."
Amy, who is currently expecting her first child, continued, "She was so supportive and was so excited to meet our little guy."
"I just can't believe she is really gone... My heart just hurts and my life will never be the same.
"Mema you will always be so precious to me and you were such a light who impacted so many lives. You lived joyously, and beautifully...and I will miss you every single day," she shared.
"I know though you are in perfect peace and we will see you again."
Fans, of course, took the opportunity to offer their sympathy to the Duggar family matriarch.
According to website The Heavy, over 58,000 people have reacted to the post on Facebook and more than 12,000 people have commented uplifting and supportive messages.
"So very sorry for your loss!" wrote one Facebook user.
"Praying for you and your family. "May God wrap his comforting arms around you all during this time."
"Sending love and prayers," said another.
"She was a beautiful part of your family."
Rumors have suggested that Grandma Mary was actually the one responsible for the Duggar's first TV special after she called several networks to detect their interest in her son's supersized family.
While that report has yet to be confirmed, the Duggars have acknowledged Mary for playing a huge role in their everyday lives, from taking over laundry duty to renting out several of her houses to her grandchildren after marriage.
Jessa and Ben are currently living in one of Mary's houses, according to The Ashley's Reality Roundup.
The touching tributes and posts continue to ring in, with Jinger Duggar recently sharing multiple photos of the "precious woman" and the "McDonald's fish sandwich lovin' lady, who was always up for an adventure."
It seems as though Mary Duggar definitely played a prominent role in the lives of each (and I mean each) and every Duggar kid, grandkid, and great-grandkid.
Our thoughts go out to this special family.
