Lisa Vanderpump is, very tragically, once again in mourning.
The veteran reality star lost her mother this week, just a year after her brother Mark took his own life.
The Daily Mail broke this sad piece of news, with a rep for Vanderpump telling People Magazine that the Bravo personality is devastated and shocked” over the loss.
Jean Vanderpump was 84 years old.
In the April of 2018, Vanderpump's brother was found dead of a suspected suicide at his home in England.
Mark was 59 years old.
“Obviously it just being the two of us, we were more like twins,” Lisa, said on Vanderpump Rules last season, adding at the time:
“It’s been incredibly difficult, but we have to keep moving forward and make the people that were so important in our lives proud as they watch down over us.”
The cause of death of Jean Vanderpump is unknown at the moment.
"This has hit Lisa very hard and she is shocked by her mother's sudden death," a source close to the 58-year old told DailyMail.com.
This same insider added that Vanderpump will take a break from filming Vanderpump Rules in the wake of this tragedy.
In related news, Lisa recently made news of her own when quit the show that made her a household name, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
She did so after clashing with her castmates over a scandal known as “PuppyGate," ultimately refusing to even film full cast scenes.
She has said her intense grief over her brother left her more vulnerable than ever to the drama of reality TV.
"It was a very difficult year for me, personally and professionally… The Housewives, it’s just, it’s emotionally too difficult to deal with," she told Us Weekly about her decision.
"Lisa has not had an easy past 14 months," the Daily Mail source continued, mentioning Mark's April 2018 suicide, which they said "rocked her family to its core."
This, of course, was said before the death of Lisa's mother.
"She then had to deal with a tumultuous season on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills which ultimately led to her stopping filming and eventually quitting the show as she was tired of being bullied by the other cast members," the source concluded.
Lisa herself later admitted to Andy Cohen that she wishes she had taken the past year off to deal with the pain of losing her brother.
For now, however, DailyMail.com reports that Vanderpump is expected to fly into London in the next week to arrange her mother's funeral.
Beyond that? It's unclear right now.
Entertainment Tonight spoke with Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix at the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Saturday, where they talked about their boss and all she's been going through.
"It did shock me," Sandoval said of her leaving the Real Housewives franchise.
"She's always been such a foundation on that show. You know, the one consistency, so yeah, it definitely shocked me, but I understand. It's different. Like, her role on that show is very different from who she is on Vanderpump Rules.
"So, I mean, if anything, she'll have more time to focus on Vanderpump Rules and focus on her new bars and you know."
"She's doing great. I think last year was a really hard year for her. I think this year, it's kind of a bright spot."
We send her and her loved ones all our best.
