Folks, it's 2019, and no one can keep up with how quickly the face of fame keeps changing.
Take Danielle Bregoli, for example.
The tough-talking 15-year-old first gained fame as the "Cash Me Outside" Girl, whose single appearance on Dr. Phil launched a million memes.
Now, the whole world is saying "how 'bout dat, indeed" ... or something, because Bregoli has done the impossible and turned her 15 minutes of internet fame into a lucrative career.
Despite her youth, Bregoli possesses the necessary swag to come off as a legit rapper, and amazingly, her output as Bhad Bhabie has attracted positive attention from industry insiders.
Bregoli's latest video features cameos from DMX and Kodak Black.
The clip has already racked up more than 8 million views on YouTube, which likely translates to a pretty nice payday for Bhabie, as she had the foresight to squeeze some additional revenue from the project.
In a savvy business move that doubles as a troubling sign of what's to come, Bregoli's video includes a break at the midpoint in which the teen rapper endorses a number of products.
One of them is Kailyn Lowry's Pothead Hair Care line.
"And then we have this Pothead CBD-infused hair care," says Bregoli in the video.
"This will have your hair looking right."
It's somewhat unclear whether or not CBD really benefits your follicles in any way, but if nothing else, the decision to include the hemp-derived product amounts to a clever marketing gimmick on Kail's part.
CBD is all the rage these days, and its inclusion helps Lowry's line to stand out from the pack.
And of course, the marketing materials write themselves.
CBD is non-psychoactive, but the fact that it's derived from cannabis makes for lots of easy jokes (the name "Pothead" being one of them).
Unfortunately, that points to the only way in which the Kail-Bhad Bhabie partnership is anything less than brilliant.
We're gonna go out on a limb and guess that Danielle has some firsthand experience with the devil's lettuce.
But because she's 15 years old, it wouldn't be a good look for Bregoli to joke about weed while shouting out Kail's brand.
Which is a shame, because an ad in which someone lights Lowry's products on fire, a la Jenelle Evans, and then lights a blunt off of them would be hilarious.
Somebody get Snoop Dogg on the phone!
