Love was in the air on Thursday’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy as Meredith continued to get closer to both Link and DeLuca.

The bigger question centered on which one of the eligible bachelors she picked to be her knight in shining armor.

At the top of the hour, it was New Year’s Eve in Seattle, but Meredith opted to stay in the hospital with her patient instead of celebrating.

The big issue here was that Meredith stood up DeLuca who she was supposed to meet at Alex and Jo’s party.

“I used to think you were so beyond me, but you’re not. You’re like a kid, playing hide and seek, hiding behind a million excuses,” DeLuca told her when he met up with her later.

Hold up.

So, DeLuca was complaining that Meredith was doing her job? It makes sense that Mer was pissed.

In fact, she went one step further and asked Link out on a date for Valentine’s day right after this argument.

Just as it seemed like Meredith was gearing up to go out with Link, her patient died on Valentine’s Day, mere moments after marrying her husband.

In a surprisingly romantic scene, DeLuca showed up and whisked Mer up to the roof, showered her with gifts, and poor Link was alone in the restaurant.

DeLuca’s got game, that’s for sure, but will Meredith be able to choose him after everything that happened?

For now, he’s an option. Link is just there taking up the air in the hospital at this stage.

While one relationship was blossoming, another was on thin ice.

Miranda and Ben have been on the outs for quite some time now, with Miranda worrying her husband’s job is going to be the death of both him and her.

Ever since she had a heart attack, she’s worried that something bad could happen and that she would have no control over it.

In an attempt to get her man back, Miranda asked Ben to return home for the holidays. Ben was against the idea, primarily because he was dropped like a hot potato.

"Miranda, I love you, but you broke my heart,” Ben told her. “I’m not coming home just because you’re lonely, and the fence needs patching.”

While that seemed like the death knell for them, Miranda sulked home to find her man building her a treehouse.

He went on to say that he’ll be with her for the rest of her life and that she needs to stop worrying.

Elsewhere, Betty dropped a bunch of bombshells on Owen and Amelia. As part of her recovery, she had to make amends and come clean.

That’s why she told them her real name:

She’d been lying to them this whole time, and her parents had no idea she had a baby.

Yeah, this is going to get tough!
