While reports say that Kourtney Kardashian is still pissed about Scott and Sofia, Kourt herself has said nothing of the sort.
But the eldest Kardashian daughter has come forward to make one confession.
She misses being in love, and she’d like to try it again. But with whom?
Kourtney Kardashian has it all — three beautiful kids, millions of dollars, and endless fame.
But she wants more, and unfortunately it’s one of the few things in life that money cannot buy.
Taking to Instagram, Kourtney shared a snapshot of the film that she was watching.
She included a heartfelt confession for her fans and followers.
"I want to be in love," Kourtney writes.
If you find yourself struggling to think of a single Julia Roberts film you’ve actually watched, don’t worry; we have you covered.
This is a famous, famous scene from Notting Hill.
The BAFTA-winning 1999 romantic comedy-drama features both Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant.
In this iconic moment, Julia is confessing: "just a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love her."
That line is perhaps more recognizable than the film itself, and has been quoted — and parodied — very widely.
There are plenty of folks who, because of life experience or personal choices or simply being aromantic, have never been in love.
Kourtney is not among them.
For nine years, beginning in 2006, Kourtney was in an on-again, off-again relationship with Scott Disick.
He is the father of her three children.
After their breakup, she hooked up with "boy toy" Younes Bendjima, but what began as a casual fling became real when Kourtney caught feelings.
That romance fizzled out last year.
Some might look at Kourtney’s post and suggest that she’s just confessing to being horny.
Kourtney is just a few months away from turning 40, but she is still the most gorgeous of her (Kardashian) sisters.
She is also part of the Kardashian family.
She can get laid any time that she wants.
In fact, she has been publicly associated with young, hot model Luka Sabbat since late last year.
That’s just casual fun. What Kourt is confessing here is that she wants to be in love.
Love is complicated, mysterious, and often painful.
If you don’t have the heart of a Disney princess, you probably watch people fall in and out of love and wonder why they torture themselves.
If so, seeing Kourtney confess to wanting to experience that roller coaster again is a little mind-boggling.
With love, romantic folks take the good with the bad because it’s all part of the experience.
And there may be an element of envy — not jealousy — at play, here.
Scott and Sofia Richie are clearly in love, and Kourtney can see that.
Even if she and Scott are over, maybe she just envies that feeling that they’re experiencing.
But Kourtney’s passions aren’t necessarily about Scott.
He’ll always be a part of her life — because of their linked reality career, their nine-year history together, and of course their three children.
That said, maybe she was just watching a movie and really feeling Julia Roberts in that scene.
Kourt saw that and thought I’ll have what she’s having.
Live your dream, Kourtney, even if it will inevitably lead to heartache.
