Vanessa Marcil has spoken out publicly for the first time about her bitter custody battle with her ex Brian Austin Green, along with his famous wife, Megan Fox.
In a lengthy and emotional Instagram message on Sunday, the actress claimed Green and Fox have nothing to do with the former’s son, Kassius…
… and it’s tearing the child apart.
"12 years ago I was served legal papers and then spent 8 years+ defending myself and my son in custody court in response to his father & his stepmother trying to get full custody (that means I would have seen my son four days a month) and then asking me to pay them child support,” wrote Marcil to open her post.
“They lost that case & a civil case asking me for 200,000."
For the record:
Marcil welcomed now 16-year-old son Kassius with her Beverly Hills, 90210 costar in March of 2002.
After the stars broke up, Green married Fox in 2010 and then welcomed three sons with the Transformers star: Noah, 6, Bodhi, 4, and Journey, 2.
Fox shared a rare photo of these three boys last summer.
Continued Marcil in her harsh Instagram message:
"I never spoke publicly in order to protect my then young son from paparazzi that used to follow him & terrify him.
"I had also never asked for child support of any kind and had never tried to take time away from Kass’ dad seeing him. Ever. In the end they lost all of these court cases.
"The judge called them all ‘Frivolous’ They always had 50% custody and still did when court ended as I had and have NEVER asked for full custody."
In other words, Marcil is alleging:
Green is perfectly free, and very welcome, to see his teenage son. But she says he has chosen not to do so.
According to the actress, Green and Fox “decided to completely cut Kass out of their lives," adding:
“Kass has never met his youngest brother and is not allowed to know where his bio father, stepmother and three younger brothers lives.
"Custody cases hurt the children only and the truth shall set us all free. Put the kids first you guys.
"There shouldn’t be a ‘more important parent’ kids love both parents equally no matter what either parent’s struggles may be.”
It’s unclear exactly why Marcil has chosen this moment to call Green and Fox out.
But she concludes by stating up troubled her child is over his non-existent relationship with his father.
“Kass has been truly heartbroken since being cut out of his other families lives with NO explanation,” she wrote.
“Let’s do better for our kids. Let’s share our stories.”
Neither Green nor anyone from his team has responded to requests to comment on this story.
Marcil, meanwhile, has sadly endured a lot of hardship in her quest to become a mother once again.
In January, the actress revealed she had suffered a miscarriage – her seventh total – three months after announcing her pregnancy.
This tragic news came with a call for privacy and a message to others that have suffered a similar loss, reminding them that they are “not alone.”
“Our hearts are with Vanessa and MC who have lost baby OPM,” the caption read.
“Thank you for respecting their privacy as they heal and thank you for sharing all of your personal stories. You are not alone.”
