We're not crying, dear readers. YOU are the ones who are crying.
An episode of Married At First Sight: Happily Ever After does not typically reduce our staff to tears, but an episode of Married At First Sight: Happily Ever After does not typically center around a new life entering the world, either.
On the latest installment of this Lifetime hit, Shawniece Jackson and Jephte Pierre welcomed their very first child together.
It came as a rather big surprise, too, because Shawniece was not due for another month when she went into labor.
Thankfully, however, mother and daughter (name: Laura Denise) are happy and healthy and viewers got to witness the trio at home as a family for the first time.
“Now it’s not just the two of us, we need to think of the future as a family,” Jephte said, adding:
"Our relationship has been a roller coaster since the day we met, but now my daughter is the driving force behind me pushing to make sure our marriage works.
"I want to be around for my daughter. I want to be a good dad, but an even better husband."
The couple celebrated its one-year anniversary with take out while Shawniece had to nurse the baby at the table.
Romantic? It some ways, actually, yes. But most definitely heartwarming and special.
“We’re in a much better place than we were a whole year ago,” Jephte said.
What about Ashley Petta and Anthony D’Amico?
This wife and husband started shopping for baby things and quickly concluded that their small apartment did not have enough space for a family of three.
As a result, Ashley decided to bring up moving to Anthony, as they only have one month left on their lease and the clock is ticking.
“There’s no better time than now. I feel like it’s definitely worth doing before the baby gets here,” Ashley said. “For our family and our family’s future, I think moving is the best idea.”
Did Anthony agree? Not quite.
He was concerned about the cost and the time frame involved in finding a new place.
“I have a really hard time thinking of reasons to stay,” Ashley said.
She was expecting Anthony to agree with her right away and was not happy when he pushed back on the idea.
We end with an update on Bobby Dodd and Danielle Bergman.
These two seemed to only disagree on one thing: money.
Danielle told Bobby that she was going to spend $1,000 on teeth cleaning for her dog ... and Bobby wasn't exactly on board.
“I’m willing to spend as much money as it takes to keep Henry healthy and happy,” Danielle said.
They pair argued more this week about moving into a new house during their pregnancy, as Bobby thought it’d make more sense to stay put.
“I’m such a frugal money freak,” Bobby said. “What we have now, a lot of families would kill to have.”
Married At First Sight: Happily Ever After airs on Lifetime on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EST.
